Monarchs v Bandits, Friday 15th April

Recommended Posts

I suspect the Bandits think they can come and win this one, like the Bullets last week. We shall see. They certainly know the track.

No surprises in the lineups. Big test for the new Monarchs.

WTF MONARCHS: Sam Masters (capt.), Lasse Fredriksen, Paco Castagna, Kye Thomson, Josh Pickering, Jacob Hook, James Sarjeant.

FTS BANDITS: Chris Harris (capt.), Ty Proctor, Theo Pijper, Leon Flint, Ricky Wells, Jye Etheridge, Kyle Bickley.

As with all Armadale matches this season, Friday’s match will be Live Streamed. Details on www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk

Like you say, we shall see. They will never have a better chance.IMO.Catching the new Monarchs cold and given the experience in the Bandits line up.

The 3 established Aussies and the sarj should all be strong at home and likely only need a few points from the new riders to get the win.

But if the Ricky Wells from last season's play off shows up could be a good night for the bandits...can only hope :P

Tough one to call, looks the weakest Monarchs team I can remember for a while, but Berwick don't go well at Armadale normally!

Berwick don’t go well at Armadale normally is such an out of date and ill informed statement. Theo Pijper and Ricky Wells have both won titles for the monarchs, Wells scored 14 last season in the play offs, Chris Harris scored paid double figures both times last season for Birmingham, Jye Etheridge got paid for double figures from number 1 at Armadale last season, he’s going to be at reserve on Friday, Leon scored paid 14 guesting for Plymouth last season, Proctor normally only scores a couple, as does Bickley, but Kyle got to ride the track last week so should have a bit of an advantage. We should be looking to win on Friday, and it will be a failure if we don’t pick up a point minimum imo.

Wouldn’t disagree. Don’t see where we are going to get heat advantages from tbh. think Berwick will win this by around 6/8 points no bother at all.

Would make the long journey and no doubt freezing night all worth it! Others are right though, barring a complete disaster we need to be aiming for a point at the very least!

I have Berwick by 6 as my prediction, but Hook/Fredrikson are both fairly unknown in terms of how good they’ll be tomorrow

Sunny Armadale will be living up to its name tomorrow night. Decent temperatures too. I'm contemplating wearing shorts.

In the last 20 years I’ve been coming to Armadale I’ve only ever got away with wearing shorts once

Define shorts?

Well… a few centimetres above the knee… what I’d wear in a hot country usually… only once in 20 years of attending Armadale.. and granted it was a July!! But I’m a proper cold tatty now so jackets and blankets are now ready :approve:
