StevePark
Don't forget it's a 5.30pm start (gates open at 4.30pm) for this one, to avoid a clash with the football at St James Park.
szkocjasid
Newcastle should have a chance of a narrow home win, but can't see any possibility of an aggregate win for them.

Mr Blobby
Hope BWD isn’t too sore. Wouldn’t be as sore if could score a point I bet. Edited April 14, 2022 by Mr Blobby
crescent girl
BWD is not riding. Diamonds are using r/r at #1 at Glasgow on Friday, but have Chris Harris on Sunday.

As I've said two post above yours, the line-ups for Sunday include Chris Harris at number one for the Diamonds.

Fromafar
Harris could jeopardise Berwick chances for play-off places with all his guesting for other Teams over the season.IMO.

enotian
Having slated the Diamonds elsewhere I think they'll win this one unless Kye Thomson has improved to heat leader level after a good first season. The Monarchs look like a developmental team this season. Even with Harris the Diamonds will probably concede the now traditional 8 points at the back end but Thomson aside the Diamonds top six should have enough to see off the rest of the Monarchs. robbieblackadder fan club
It will be interesting to see what the team is like with a genuine no 1
Terrace Grumbler
Two points, unrelated... first, does anyone know if this is a season ticket match (if not I needd to get to a cashpoint!), and second and more seriously, is it worth considering a minute's applause for Nigel Pearson tomorrow? I'm not sure if the promotion would consider it but it might be a nice touch.

Agree it would be nice touch to do a minutes silence for the fella.
geoff100
Think it shows how daft speedway can be when harria can guest for a guy who was never going to score points, and yes have seen newcastle twice this season "bwd" way off the pace .

It's happened many times over the years to most teams. One year we had Andrew Tully injured at P and P, and we got a guest right through till he was fit. Jirout was another example from the mid 00's. It's not unusual. By getting a guest early in the season gives the unlucky club a fair chance to be at strength in those opinion forming early meetings. We used R/R for Mario Jirout twice and then he was replaced by Kristian Lund.

Maybe the answer is that Bomber goes around and rides for every club in the first couple of weeks? He will probably achieve this feat as the season goes by anyway, so, instead, make it part of the "launch plan" in those important few meetings for each team...
