We now know the competing teams in the 2nd semi in Elgane Norway on 18th June- start time 2pm UK time

Denmark, Norway, Latvia and Sweden.

No doubt it will be the SF winners plus highest scoring 2nd to join the seeded Poles in the final.

Norway team

Espen Sola

Mathias Pollested

Truls Kamhaug

Iver Sveen

Sorry i’m not with you- Poland seeded to the final, 2 semi winners- GB and ?? and surely highest scoring 2nd - Czech’s got 42.

that's how i thought it was but this year they've changed it, that's why GB HAD to win their qualifier to get through.

qualifiers for final are Poland, GB, winner of semi in Norway, and highest FIM seeded nation that fails to qualify

And are these rankings out in the open to see ?

goes on last years U23 competition.

GB failed to make the final so below Denmark, Sweden, and Latvia i believe (and Germany)

I should have realised i could look up the rules

" The winning team of each Semi Final will qualify through to the Final, together with two teams nominated by the TRC (the FMNR of the Final team being one of them, + one team according to the previous years ranking)."

More nonsense.

I don't see that last year is relevant, when the teams have changed. It should be down to this years performance

Exactly- highest 2nd isn`t 100% ideal because of the different strengths sometimes of the semi`s but it`s better than this new rule !!!

Particularly in Junior meetings etc with an age limit. Quite possible that a team finished well because of one or two riders who are no longer available . And they then get intothe final over a team that beat them in the qualis...

I read somewhere that Germany will be in the semi-final in Norway, replacing Denmark, who are already qualified for the final.

It would make sense if it is Norway v Sweden v Latvia v Germany in the second semi-final at Elgane, and only the winning team qualifies for the final.

Poland and Denmark are seeded, and Great Britian qualified as the winners of SF1.

That does make more sense than what we originally thought. Now we just need confirmation, although with the meeting next Saturday sooner rather than later would be nice !!

That is now confirmed as the amended SR indicates.
