Jukebox Romeo
Devils just to edge this for me, 47-43. Two evenly matched teams on paper with three genuine NL heat leaders on each side, and a good bunch of young prospects in the second string and reserve berths. Particularly looking forward to watching Gregor Millar and George Rothery - two Devils with plenty of potential to kick on again this year. Hopefully George can rediscover his early-2021 form, staying on board for four laps will help!
SlicktrackSandy
Yes indeed to that. Teams do look fairly evenly matched - so looking forward to an entertaining first match of the season. Close racing and injury free please. Result ? - In football manager parlance "You have to score more than them to win" - so whoever does exactly that will take the spoils" ( or settle for 45 each ). Chris116
A bit worrying that Devils still don't have a team declaration according to the BSPL latest information. But neither do Oxford or Mildenhall so it is probably just a case of the BSPL being rather slow.
Sings4Speedway
Curious fixture with a strong Berwick team who line up probably improved on last season when they almost took the title. Home advantage will be key and a second fixture 24 hours later for the Bullets might see a touch of caution employed. Looking forward to seeing how Pijper Jnr gets on. crescent girl
Tom Woolley is an excellent choice to skipper the Devils, IMO.....
Islander15
Berwick could nick this. Bullets have a strong top 3 to match Armadale’s and their bottom 4 is almost certainly stronger but it depends how dialled in the local youngsters are this early in the season. If one of Watson, Rathbone or Douglas have a good meeting then I can see a small away win.

cyclone
Thinks this could depend upon how the reserves on both sides perform. IMO the Millar Brothers did not live up to expectations last year and will have to up their game if Devils are to be more competitive in 2022.. If the lads continue with their enthusiasm and keep enjoying their racing - gradual improvement will surely follow. The talent is there for all to see. EMTV Livestream purchased for this one and conditions should be near perfect for 7.30 pm. Maybe first night nerves for some, but Mike & Graham are seasoned professionals. They will be just fine ! crescent girl
Quite apart from the result, this was an entertaining match on a chilly night. The first half-dozen races had so much going on, with passing and re-passing galore, that one could hardly draw breath. Armadale had more heat winners than the Bullets, but Berwick had only two last places all night. A great advert for NDL speedway.
