As been said it's not so much the cost of the shale but more likely the cost the transport it all the way down from Scotland by the lorry load, mind you it would explain why Buster Chapman now uses clay or mud from the nearest fields:rofl:

I was told by one clubs General Manger that shale is bought by weight so if you get it when it’s soaking wet you get less for your money.
