Following on from all the recent hullabaloo you would think Dan Bewley would be registering wins in this company even if it was a track he had never ridden before

I made my first visit to Marmande today where they won 56 - 42.

Good to see some riders that we don’t see much in the UK.

The famous grass track (that surrounds the Speedway track) looked pretty impressive also with three distinct straights! Might return for the grass track one day!

the French are very strong on their own tracks, something i saw first hand at the European Pairs Final at Macon last year when the French won

I wonder why isn't an official France v Great Britain speedway test match already on the card?

Would make a good pre season warm up in early March.

BUT Can you imagine how you'd have been laughed at for suggesting this 10 years ago?

Yes, of course, :D but times are changing and France v Great Britain would now make a pretty good international match. The French have made very good progress.

First / early meetings often throw up surprise results and scores, makes you wonder what kit he was using, if it was misbehaving and how hard he was chucking the bike into the bends or if he was easing himself back in. Especially on a circuit new to him. I don't tend to read too much into such early scores.
