Well done Birmingham. Great team which should be challenging.
new air fence and completely newly laid track. New team sponsor.  The promotion have ticked everything single box.
just need the crowds to come.

Decent Team, here’s hoping the fans turn out for the Promotion, who have done a good job at the end of the day.We will worry about  riders missing fixtures later.

Not sure what the ruling is regarding guests in the league cup but seems odd to bring in ben morley as a guest for ellis, surely theres someone available who's average is closer to ellis'

Oh jeeeezzzz....first fixture an all that....strange one!

Dont think I'll be going to that meeting.....not a fan of speedway at the Leicester set up anyway.

Crap race track IMO!

Good signing, solid team, not sure it will challenge for honours though.  Doubt over Vissing after not riding over here for a few years, plus Auty & Shanes cannot gate for toffee and are likely to be partnered in the engine room..

It won't be a guest, As Adam hasn't rode for Birmingham yet they don't get a facility the only option the Brummies would have is to sign someone on a meeting by meeting deal or use and unattached NL Rider.

Morley is probably the best option that was willing to race for 1 meeting.

Why don't they get the 0.75 facility Poole and Glasgow used last season?

There used to be a rule, not sure if it still exists, that says that you can't have a "proper" guest (& have to use a NL guest) for a rider who's not ridden for the team yet. Birmingham came a cropper in 2007 under this rule when they couldn't have anything more than a NL guest for Emiliano Sanchez in the opening fixture, after he picked up an injury that prevented him from making his debut.  If this is the rule being enforced, then Ellis riding for the Brummies in the NL doesn't count for the purposes of appearing in the CL.

welcome news about Adam.

Hopefully he will ride in the majority of home matches and give us the big hitter we need in heat 13 and 15.

If the new surface delivers a nice dirt line Shanes can be at his best late on; so I can see him getting plenty of chances in nominated heat.

Was at PB this afternoon, track looked good,  where were Ellis and Nielson did they clear off after the photo session, dint see them out on the track? Not a fan of Ellis, a gater as far as  Im concerened. If I remember correctly his efforts in (2019) Ht15 were less than exemplary, dont give us much chance if it comes down to last ht deciders.

Most impressive rider in my opinion was Bulls no.4 15 yr old Freddie Hodder, quick, smooth and in control, pity hes signed for Belle Vue, certainly one to watch.

Might go to leics even though Morley is riding, at least there's no dog track and you can stand on the exit of bend 2.

Ellis and Nielsen had to be at Sheffield for 2pm for their Press and Practice day which was unfortunatly arranged before the Brummies announced their P&P plans for the same day.

Looking at Adam Ellis's record in heat `15 appearances for last season for Sheffield.

Home

8 appearances

2 occasions winning the race

4 occasions finishing 2nd ( 3 were paid wins)

2 occasions  finishing 4th

Away

7 appearances

3 occasions winning races

2 occasions finishing 2nd

2 occasions finishing 4th

Very nearly a 50% record for either win or paid win, I would say that was not too shabby.
