I see that Justin Sedgmen is riding at North Brisbane on 19 March. Cutting it fine if he’s got a UK team place

The way he spoke in the Speedway Star a few weeks ago was implying that it wasn't worth racing in this country anymore...

Think he said that for him to ride over here he needed to ride in both league's to make it pay.

The current news also states that we were about to sign Ty-Proctor?

This announcement doesn't inspire me....but we will have to wait and see.

P.s  I think Nigel Pearson had a hand in writing the latest press release?  it describes the proposed signing as an 'exciting talent' !? :D

Yes I know....thanks.

My previous post isn't clear.....the latest news thread reads that we 'were' due to sign Proctor, but he opted for Berwick as a Saturday night suited him better.

No great loss if that’s the case, mediocre rider ,not even entertaining in my book.

The first year he came over for Somerset, he looked like he really had something about him and especially at home was a real racer. By the end of that season though he already got too big for his boots and went off chasing the big bucks, ironically at Birmingham. Hasn’t really ever cut it since then and didn’t ever get anywhere near as good as I thought he might.
