Used to enjoy my trips to Plough Lane and I guess the riders who struck a cord were Larry Ross and Mick Hines during my visits? Well he was a fantastic rider anyway. But still developing and was with the Mauger troupe down under in the winter 75/76 with Egon Müller etc and came back in those early months a much improved rider

Prior to that at White City's opening meeting.

I saw him at Reading at the end of the 1975 season competing in the Geoff Curtis Memorial Meeting. If I recall he was involved in a three rider run-off against John Davis and Dag Lovaas which Davis won? Tommy missed Wimbledon's visit to Cowley on Bank Holiday Monday that same season and John Boulger deputised in his absence.

longlivefrankie
I was lucky enough to see both Gote Nordin & Tobjorn Harrysson most weeks at Somerton Park and Gote Nordin winning the Internationale in 66. They would be my picks obviously 2 different styles

BOBBATH
What about Jim Airey as a stylist-my nomination for the most UNSTYLISH has to be Clive Featherby

Arms and legs everywhere but great to watch. One of my favourite 60’s riders.
andout
Some supreme stylists that come to mind for me are Craven, Sjosten, Lofqvist, Harrfeldt, Loram and Kelly Moran (especially on the US tracks).
