Shane Parker, Travis McGowan and Jamie Smith…. Then more recently when Somerset signed Rory Schlein, was one of the reasons I stopped going.

Edit - when we turned a championship winning side into a 2nd placed side on the verge of the start of the season when we signed Henning Loof as an injury replacement.

Ian Gledhill was always regarded as a Cowley track specialist (think he got the track record on one occasion?) but when he eventuallly signed for the "Cheetahs" proved a huge disappointment and soon departed from the scene.

Doyle  looks awkward  to me very similar to Nikki P  who also looks at odds to the bike at times .

I'd like to be as good on a bike as 2 awkward former world champions!:) Probably a lot down to riders of this type along with Harris generally not being great gaters and having to ride slightly raggadly. The likes of Greg Hancock normally were gate and go on really fast bikes, so could look smooth out in front on their own.

NickiP often looks to me as if he's fighting the bike around the track "you WILL go sideways around here ! " and pulls on the bars a bit like steering a horse, where one puts slight pressure on the reins to have said nag (hopefully) turn.  Weird equestrian analogies aside, NickiP is an all-action rider who I'd name in my team all day long.  Doyle looks a bit tidier on the bike but hey, he makes it work....

Your  quite  right 4 W titles between them speaks for it's self( Doyle should really have another) I am just not an admirer of their  riding styles but Harris is box office when he is on it .IMO some of the issue is their height ,Bart turns the bike inside out and looks amazing but then he is only about five foot  two . Grin like Mauger (gating aside )had such smooth style that he made it look too  easy .

Is there one rider that if your club signed them you would consider no longer attending?

For example poor Baldyman is sweating on Doyle signing as a Witch

Give reasons if you wish but it can just be a gut feeling with no rational justification

Expand to a full nightmare 1-7 if you are a proper miserable bar steward like me :D

Craig Cook

Jason Crump

Jack Holder

Justin Sedgman

Chris Harris

Hans Andersen

Josh Bates (I needed a RS :D)

In reply to the original post,

Edward Kennett.

will never forgive him for cheating whilst wearing a Coventry Bees race jacket/ bodysuit

Ok, riders I would not be excited by if signed:

Troy Batchelor; Craig Cook; Lewis Kerr; Jake Allen; Nick Morris; Jack Holder; Lewis Bridger; Charles Wright

Just my opinion obviously.
