So surprise surprise Henry Atkins look's like he will finish up with the Oxford Chargers, the dilemma now for the Oxford management is what should they do:

1. Have a hot line from team manager to Mike Atkins to get any tactical moves approved.

2. Make Mike Atkins team manager so the team manager can't do anything that "might" upset the blue eyed boy avoiding the need for option 1.

3. Keep Mike Atkins clear of any contact with the boy during the meeting & let Henry succeed or fail on his own merits.

All a bit tongue n' check folks, but H & M Atkins have previously let both Somerset & Plymouth down. Mike Atkins is not a bad person - but he's both Henry's

best & worst influence. Good luck to Henry on his "predicted" move to Oxford & show everyone what you are capable of.

"If" Henry is transferred to Oxford will that then end Plymouth's option of a guest or R/R facility?

If he has served his ban then surely its upto both the Club and the rider to sort the problem out and get him back riding for them again, or release him. They cannot be allowed to use guests or RR for him whilst he's riding as a guest for other clubs.

But then this is Speedway, the sport with the most flexible rulebook in sport

What I understand is, Atkins can't sign for Oxford till he's removed from the Plymouth 1-7.

Plymouth can't remove him from their 1-7 till they sign a replacement.

Plymouth can't find anyone willing to drive to Plymouth for Tuesday's.

I guess this means Atkins may have to sit out the rest of the season? Tbh I don't feel for him, he's left Plymouth in the lurch & it certainly seems childish to leave a club because you disagreed with the team manager.

From what I've read of his Dad causing issues, not sure why Oxford would want to sign "Team Atkins"?

All I can say is the latest BSPA NDL declaration has Henry Atkins in the Plymouth team.

New GSA published (15 June), and Atkins is no longer in Plymouth team.

We await developments

What size crowds are they getting?

I'd guess (not claiming any accuracy) 400-450 for the first and 500ish  for the second. (So as many as  four or five Championship tracks I've visited this season)

Second Chargers crowd was in half term week and was nearer 1000 than 500. In any case, it was several hundred higher than the first Chargers meeting and the Oxford promotion were extremely pleased by the size of the crowd.

Just been reading Luke Killeen broke his leg in a very nasty crash at Redcar last night

He dislocated an ankle according to the BSPA website, which sounds very nasty.

I hope we have a good turn out from the Oxford faithful tonight. The Cubs have a decent following and this is a top of the table local derby. A good away following is always welcome.

UPDATE
After last nights horrific looking crash in heat 1 of the NJL meeting it’s been confirmed in the last hour or so that Luke Killeen has unfortunately suffered a broken leg above the ankle Kyran Lyden went to A&E also last night and after a CT scan and X-rays on a sore arm has been very lucky to escape with just bumps and bruises.
Get well soon lads from all at Redcar Speedway.
