Ha! I'd made that assumption too. Another place I have spent a lot of time at, oblivious to the significance. Looks like I played 5 as side for years where the old speedway was. It was later used by Poole for training in the early 70's. The track you saw racing on was the 'mini longtrack' which was closed after a sidecar fatality in 1992.
