But the point you origianlly made was you couldnt see 2,500+ turning up and I would say its likely to happy for at least the first few meetings
Rosie76
Last season in top flight was poor, and resulted in mid season pull out and theConference league finishing the season under the new ownership of Alan Trump. Alan wanted to continue with second division the following season, but landlords wanted to stop speedway at the stadium. The top flight team was poor it was unable to find a star rider as they wanted to ride for teams that already had stars. The new promotion have invested heavily in changes to make the racing better, and if they can also maintain a competitive team the 2 factors will help with crowd levels. Like every track in the country they will have the challenge of the cost of living crisis.

Chairboy
Re the car park at the stadium itself - I had a quick look round recently and found that the main part of the 'old' car park (at the 3rd/4th bends end of the track) is no longer part of the stadium complex. Correct it has been boarded off

If you look at the previous article on the website about Kyle Newman it describes Kyle as a heat leader so Im not reading too much into this..

thecoombdog
Good luck to everyone at Oxford for next season and beyond. A local derby against the Robins in the top league is the dream next for 2023. Shame all the groundworks at our stadium site are probably being done for housing!!! Looking forward to attending the Poole meeting on 20th April with a few fellow Robins fans. Question is, who do we support?! The historic scum (Oxford) or the new scum (Poole)!!! Can't ever imagine supporting any Oxford team TBF!! The scum comment was just a joke. Haven't seen live speedway since the Ipswich play off final in 2019 so just looking forward to going again!

Hehe. Well Steve Worrall did ride for Swindon a few years back!
