Before money went to the club, after assets taken back by BSPL so Glasgow would have paid the mafia board for Brennans contract. Surely, bspa should have used that money to pay Eastbourne debts? I mean even just ethically its correct thing to do (I know bspa and ethics what am I thinking)

This would have been attended to at AGM time, l expect. But only their standard money, unless any special contracts had been lodged with the authorities pre-season. Riders who are publicising that they have unpaid debts will be seeking the extras promised by the failed promotion. Sadly, others owed dough -- outwith 'speedway debts' -- aren't likely to see anthing ...
cityrebel
30 stock car meetings to be staged at Arlington this year, several on Saturdays. Speedway seems just a distant memory.
FromBendThree
There still seems a desire in some quarters to pick over the bones of what happened at Eastbourne last summer. Admittedly it was all very upsetting and people lost money. However, it is probably for the best that this doesn't go on for too much longer as it just may taint the activities of the group trying to get the sport back into Arlington for 2023. They are certainly going to need all the positivity they can get. Of course, the issues Birmingham seem to be having in completing a team should be a worry for the whole league. If Birmingham can't get a team, how would Eastbourne fare in 2023 when they need seven, having no assets.

You don’t really think anything said on this forum will taint anything. The riders are the ones that will upset any activities when they want paid and the business men that were taken for a ride. I do think that things said on this forum may affect chances of sponsorship, especially if it is from a non-speedway company. Before spending money on sponsorship they would conduct "due diligence" which at a minimum would be an internet/social media search – and the BSF discussions would pop up. Of course, fans who sponsor, would not be affected. They will know the history but for all concerned a period of calm would not go amiss. Now is the time to move on and look forward.

Sad for this year of course but as said in the original press release, Eric & Margaret Dugard are keen to see speedway return to the venue..

If due diligence means taking into account a social media like the BSF, it means the Sport is in bigger trouble than many think it is in.Now if they look into the rogues who have been involved and bailed out, that might well influence their decision

This will include (but not limited to) looking at three areas of SM. 1 The clubs/sport official SM platforms, 2. Players (or riders) in the sport or club concerned, 3. Unofficial SM channels and the BSF would be included in the latter. So, speedway is no different to football, rugby, cricket, basketball, netball, F1, BSB etc.

This was known from the start so not new, I'm just surprised they are listed as both tractors are owned by different people, one of them is scrapped anyway Fake news I think because I cant find a listing. The remaining and fully running tractor is still at the stadium ready for use, another will be needed though.
FromBendThree
You could always borrow some from Buster. He has a fleet of tractors, trailers and other kit parked out the back but then he might need them. Stox on Saturday night, speedway on Sunday afternoon was a superb turn around for Lewis Kerr testimonial.
FromBendThree
Speedway Star has Tom Brennan as the one to watch - both for Belle Vue and Glasgow. Just shows what poor old Eastbourne fans are missing. Now he's gone to Glasgow.

I can understand how you feel. Flicking through the Star again this morning, I can see other 'Eastbourne riders' picked out. This must really heighten the sadness down on the south coast. Hope you are back in 2023 but speedway will need a sort out if there are to be enough riders to go round. Where would Oxofrd have been this year in the Eagles and Kent Kings had run?
