Wanting rid of him is nothing to do with winning and losing!!

To be fair the majority of the crap is coming from a set off fans based in Dorset.

Come to think of it 90% of the crap on most threads on here come from a set off fans based in Dorset.

Go figure.

he got banned for 10 days by the scb for not riding at Plymouth. Is what it is. End of the season who cares.

I think he probably cared as he wasn't able to take part in the Scottish Open last night and therefore missed out on the chance of earning some prize money. Shot himself in the foot.

Exactly Blobby…….gets really boring listening to the Cook haters prattling on and on and on at every opportunity.
Same with the Cami haters…..I’m fed up with this football type “we didn’t win….sack the manager”  kinda crap.

Loads of teams don’t win so let’s sack all their managers, eh?……….Nonsense!

I've nothing against Cami but i'm just tired of Cook's antics now, the team don't seem particularly stronger or weaker if he's there anymore. Richard Lawson came in for him once and nobody missed him and it was like a dark cloud had lifted. Ulrich used to be really enthusiastic in the pits during meetings but Cook would often skulk around being the arbiter of doom and gloom which often affected the rest of the team (imo). I'd rather see Josh Pickering riding for Glasgow in place of Cookie next season as he's probably looking for a new home and he's a lot more upbeat as well as being more exciting on the track.

*incidentally, if Edinburgh don't run next season i think Jacob Hook would also be a great signing on a 4-point average as he has been getting better and better all season and last night was always in or around the action against top opposition. An ideal replacement for Danyon but on a much lower average.

<edit> *assuming Glasgow remain in the Championship

What then?……clash of personalities?……or being guilty of what you think have been a few wrong decisions? The management seem to think he’s ok and the team appeared to get on well with him……..and before you allude to the old chestnut of his sponsorship as the reason he’s in the position……..”we” don’t know what that involves. He’s a passionate fan who had to fill the shoes of the previous, very good, team manager, who though, didn’t ALWAYS get it right. Who would you have in his place?…..and please don’t say Michael Max as I firmly believe he already has massive input to team decisions.

He's unprofessional and doesn't represent the club well imo. Gets too involved in situations shouting and swearing at opposition fans and riders. Wants to be the riders pals like the sycophant he was as the parade truck driver. Throw in countless shocking decisions over the years just a few of my reasons.

I'd have far more respect for Micheal but no o think as a so called professionally run club should have someone with a proven record at the job. Off top of my head rossco would be my preferred choice. Or see what Ian Steele is up to these days

There are so many people in speedway that could step up into the role of Team Manager, you make it sound like Cami is the only one who can run a speedway team. I could probably run one, what are the qualifications? Do i need a Scotvec or a degree?

So where is Danyon going? As he's got a better away average than his home figure, I would have thought he was one to keep.

No one will be queueing up to manage the team. Its a massive commitment with time off work and travel for little more than your travel expenses. Dickson wasnt perfect as TM, we've all seen that, neither was Ian Steel but Im sure he has grown into the role each season and become more mature in his decision making. He wont take any s-h-i-t from riders especially the Hans Andersen types who will dominate if given the opportunity and Im certain no one will tell him they arent going out in a heat because it doesnt suit. We need someone like that, if anyone is out there, just not Dickson again.

Yep Danyon has to be offered a spot next season with Basso and Brennan.

We need too build around youth that are only going too improve.

If can't get basso back like to see try for blodorn. Was pretty good at the "test match" think be an exciting addition dependant on the polish situation

Wouldn’t be against that either, as I say we need younger hungrier riders.

Sure there will be meetings that they will be inconsistent but the satisfaction of watching them develop is what I love seeing.

How good was it watching Basso this season improving at a rapid rate.

Aye 100%. Better than watching wells and sedgeman maintain their "false averages".

Hasn't Basso got Poland Sweden and Denmark already? Plus possibly Panthers?

Depending on make up of the league Thomson might be worth a place. Need to at least try n get Basso given he's our asset

Could the Monarchs afford to have  both Sam and Josh with their averages in the team next year?

I know it becomes chequebook speedway but I've always felt the following season's team building average should be set to that of the league winners. Surely making the other teams improve their squad would be better for the sport rather than diluting it.

Bring in a wages limit rather than a points limit and try to obtain some sort of balance.

That way some loyalty can be shown and young fans who have spent pocket money on their favourite rider's merchandise may not see their hero moved on after a season
