Aye politics of it all would make it difficult. One thing that hasn't happened under the facenna ownership was promise of a training track. Shocking the lack of Scottish riders around nowadays. Lawson, Tully and Stoddard last of any decent level came through

Tully isn’t Scottish

Rely on other tracks to produce riders it’s the proven method that Poole have operated for years!

Tbh that's what we've done for years now. Sam and Marcin only assessed new riders I can think of in recent years sadly. Loved watching riders develop with us from reserves to no.1s. used to have about 3 new Aussies a season on average (though least said of Jayden O'Malley and Michael penfold the better )

It shouldn’t be the case but the sport is too elitist  (and expensive) for there to be a constant supply of talent.

I followed Rye House for many years and their policy was to produce their own riders probably to the detriment of the club success wise but not entertainment.

Yeah had good set up down there with the nl club feeding champ for a while. I'd love nothing more than a new James grieves to follow from wobbler to no.1, just don't see any talent around now that'll ever happen

Ideally both teams could run an NDL side but think we will both benefit long term from the Devils and the academy at Armadale.

Maybe you could loan Bailey to the Monarchs for next season, he suited the blue and gold away at Newcastle ;) Would love to have Edwards back but fear the travel may be too much for him.

I have seen Edwards name in the Ekstraliga section in the Grudziadz team, although as an under 24 rider. I am unsure of race day for U24 teams.

Joey Ringwood was ok during that era of sign anyone from overseas that can stay upright for four laps. A second season would have benefitted him though perhaps he didnt want to come back.

Jayden O'Malley was too young when he rode for us and being in a crap team was under pressure to score points, like everyone else. A year or two later in a stronger team and with a bit more nurture he may have made a go of it. Riding once a week just isnt enough for riders wanting to develop.

Under 24 riders ride in the first team in Poland as there is a requirement for each team to include at least 2 I think...not sure, in each meeting.. As far as I'm aware there isn't U24 teams so no seperate race day.

Dan Bewley is one of Wroclaw's under 24 riders.

Oh dear…

Poland have created an U24 league, the same as how most sports have youth leagues, Jason Edwards has signed up for Grudziadz, he won’t be in the first team, he’s hardly at that sort of level.

You just stick to talking utter rubbish and contributing meaningless posts, you’re not very good at the actual speedway stuff clearly

I was watching a meeting on EMTV+  a while back. At one point, they were interviewing three Glasgow Aussies in the bar. "Powell, Carter and Bowes".

Now, obviously, I well remembered Mick and Shane but I was absolutely lost as to who Carter was.

Did some digging and discovered his first name was Michael. Not that that really helped as I still have no memory of him whatsoever.

My digging suggests he may be the only rider to have 3 tape exclusions in his only 3 rides of one particular second half meeting! I'm guessing he never really made it beyond that level?
