I'm inclined to agree. Heat 15 decider is a lot of pressure. We have put reserves in heat 15 before and it's not worked out.

Cookie and Tom had just taken a 4-2 in heat 13 too. Plus danyon had just been passed by ruml, sign might been getting tired.

Tremendous effort from danyon though

Line up isn’t great. If Dan can make so can tai and Robert. Obviously can’t be bothered.

Can't believe I'm saying this but for once I agree with you! Just have to wonder if the Glasgow promotion were mislead about the GB team?  I know that Poole are racing Berwick on the Saturday so I can understand why certain riders weren't selected BUT Jordan Palin, seriously? If it were 7 man teams then perhaps, and I mean perhaps, Palin could have been the No.7 but in a 6 man team absolutely no way. Explains why Ruml is in the RoW team, that and the fact that Sam Ermolenko is the manager! Whilst it will be good to see Rasser again, I wonder if an Australian team with Doyle and Fricke supported by any four from Masters, Pickering, Kurtz, Batchelor, Douglas, Morris and Thomson would have proved more attractive?

Palin got 1 point at ashfield beating Connor Coles. It's very strange when we have danyon and Connor available in particular

I think either of Connor or Danyon should have been given a slot, Palin appears to be a one track pony, and it is a shame that it is on the same night as Berwick meeting as Flint should have been in

So does Connor Bailey race under a British licence then? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick somewhere? And if he does, how does he qualify? I'm a bit confused.

British passport and on a British license. Parents emigrated to Australia where he was born and have now returned here I think is the situation

Ellis unavailable too presumably?

I agree, it's a pretty underwhelming line up.

Makes me wonder if Dan, rasser and fricke weren't using it as practice for GP challenge what kind of lineup would it be.

Might get some fans from belle Vue but don't envisage many other fans making the journey for it now.

He races under a British passport and has said he will never race for Australia, he wants to be part of team GB

Team GB press release leaves Olly Allen with the hard task of justifying the GB line up, and something he fails to do in a vain attempt to distract us from test matches being little more than a revenue cash cow for his paymasters, the company that bought the Team GB franchise from the BSPL, a transaction reminiscent of Jack and the Beanstalk. Strange idea that he needs test matches to look at every rider at his disposal. All the GB guys ride in the Premiership, cant he see them there? Certainly his co manager Simon Stead, also the Sheffield manager, must see them most weeks.
