Leicester Lions 2022 Line up

Recommended Posts

I think you're taking my post about Doyle a little too seriously PirateShip. I was just having a bit of fun speculating after Flagrag's post about former Lions returning. I imagine his average would be way too high for him to be considered but who knows?

I've no idea about him being owed money except to say that was under the previous regime.

Dickson confirmed were in the championship next season with JCB giving us a two year sponsorship deal. I could easily see master's coming. Sounds ambitious but masters has said a few years back he loves the track but his wages were abit high for Dave Helmsley.

Edinburgh owned.

"Owned", sounds like slavery to me. I thought that was illegal. And he is a former Lion.

If Sam wants to ride for Leicester rather than Edinburgh then I'm sure he will. Riders have the power these days. Seems to happy and settled at Edinburgh though, so I would be surprised if he moved.

Douglas isn't riding in the Championship next season.

He's doing Poland and Wolves only.

Not Sweden? Is Poland and Wolves going to generate enough meetings for him though?

Is it top league Poland?

Richard sweetman, whatever happened to him? Replaced Josh G in our title winning 2012 year never seen again.

It all got too much for him I think after a spell with Coventry, which is a shame as I remember him pulling off a hell of a ride in the final heat of the reopening match to secure a draw.

For me there isn't a rider in the modern era that I associate with Leicester, probably because they've chopped and changed leagues so much. Hopefully, if they stick with Speedway, don't get binned off and don't become too good the twins will be those riders

Interesting team and Tom is a mate of mine but depending upon how the other teams shape up it cud well be too early for him.

Also I would only go with one of the Twins, which one? Depends upon how the rest of the team is built.

Obviously depends on the rules for 2022, but under current rules neither Dan or Joe could be the "rising star" for 2022!

What prevents them from being RS? Under the present rules neither are too good, too old or too experienced?

I'd guess that Dan becomes  a 3* and Joe a 2* , ( but that's assuming the rules evolve gradually, they could easily change completely.)
