Poole fans would you rather be in top league or championship next season? We were talking about this last night and though I can't speak for all Poole fans most have accepted racing in the championship. There is more variety having more teams although next season there will be missing both Kent Kings and Eastbourne Eagles it's been excepted and let's be honest there isn't much difference between both leagues. So I would say to stay in the Championship. I don't mind the Premiership but would need to be 10 teams for me to say I want Poole to go back up there. 2

Plus ur not seeing any different riders by being in the Premiership. Why put up the costs for the club & fans when the rider quality is no different, no GP standard riders. It's just a different name & so the BSPA can still say the av a top league for TV when they haven't.

Trackrat
Hilarious Paul fans justifying the lower league as better than the premier league, didn't even have the lower league play off on TV, that's how much it matters.

LisaColette
Good to see Darcy got some footage of last night to watch at home in Aus. Also good to see some ex Poole riders supporting our win last night from Klindt and Freddie Jakobsen.

Reality is that it’s better. Virtually the same riders and more teams. What’s not to like? Roll in 2022 and let’s do it all again. Fair play to you Steve for owning up to that. I just hope that something can be rescued from the Eastbourne / Kent situation next year otherwise it’s a sad story for speedway in the south east, non existent, and many supporters won’t return in future. Popular Post Noelinho
Overall quality in the Championship is lower than the Premiership, but they’re not miles apart. I hope Poole stay. I certainly wouldn’t be keen on Glasgow going up. It’s nice having more teams to face off against. On Glasgow, a lot of people get fixated on the amount of money the Facennas have spent to “buy the trophy”. I’m sure they would dearly love to win it - why wouldn’t they? - it they aren’t spending money just to win it. They want to invest in the area. They want to expand attract new supporters. And they want a stadium/racetrack that can host meetings outside of the domestic league and individual championships - as having two Test matches and the Speedway GP qualifiers shows. I’m sure that’s a more complex mix of wanting to do a great job, forge a reputation for high standards, wanting to achieve success and have the satisfaction of having a local speedway team to watch. All good things.
