So SS comes on here and winds up (your words)but when someone retaliates then you all go wishy washy and ar*e lickey and  want everyone to feel sorry for you all, if you can’t take it then don’t give it

Umm interesting you missed out what they retaliated with? What was that again? And what have I given out? Oh yeah nothing. Come back with actual facts. Thanks so much!

Looking forward to trip up to Glasgow on Tuesday. Not an ideal time to travel with the Cop26 climate change conference taking  place in the city or the cold weather that November brings but that's the way it is.

I have visited the city on several occasion's normally in the summer months and have been to Ashfield many times and enjoyed the racing and chatting with the Glasgow fans.

To set the record straight not all Poole fans are arrogant or self righteous as I think some on this forum believe.

Steve likes a bit of banter but he isn't vindictive.

We both are flying up on Tuesday and would be great to meet up with Glasgow fans before the meeting.

See you all on Tuesday

Let the battle for the title commence.

Maybe get Greta Thunberg to come and watch.  All Swedes love speedway after all...

Was going to say I'm sure the restaurants be staying open later during COP take advantage. If you're struggling I seem to remember a 24 hour noodle place across from the garage nightclub from my partying days haha.

I was a Savoy man myself those were the days or also known as the swavy savy.

if Basso rides how he started on Wednesday then this could be closer than some Poole supporters think

I doubt many Poole supporters think is going to be easy. Glasgow are a top team, we have Basso, they have Nowak and it could come down to who wins that particular battle. It going to be very close and could go either way.

Having lived in Glasgow for 17 years, I’ll say West of Scotland humour takes some adjustment and can be brutal but is almost never malicious.

I do think Wednesday might be a better day than Tuesday weather wise, though I’m not sure if that’s an option. Can’t say I’m looking forward to such a cold meeting, but needs must.

Easiest way back to city centre by public transport is probably the train from Ashfield station. It’s half hourly, one stop and takes 7 minutes. Walking is a bit far, though I personally wouldn’t be worried about safety. You’re more likely to be mugged in the West End where the people with things worth nicking hang out…

He said he was riding a bike he doesn't normally ride at Poole, that he used at Edinburgh..? Was on the press conference video that Steve put up earlier. However he hasn't ever ridden at Glasgow as far as I'm aware, so it could go either way and will need a race or two to get into it imo. We really need Jack Thomas and his new engine that is suited to Glasgow to hit the ground running if possible, I'm sure he'll give it 110% as he normally does. Ben Cook to do as well as last time will also be good, I assume he was taken out of H14 on Weds as a precaution, nasty looking crash that was.

I'll take your word for that one! As for Weds not sure that is a good idea considering how far apart the clubs are imo. They all need their beauty sleep before a final 2nd leg! ;)

Could also come down to a dodgy exclusion, someone breaking the tapes it will be that close but so hard to predict when it feels we were there first away meeting of the season? And both teams are slightly different.

jack thomas can’t ride now  as his ave has changed and is too high might be a change at reserve also looking at new ave

Oh well have to use Zach which is a good thing I think, he is a better rider than Jack Thomas in my opinion.

Based on their last ashfield scores have to disagree with you..but time before Jack got 0 so can be inconsistent. We'll never know now, but I'd imagine cook be unlikely to get his 4 rides if basso takes to the track, which I imagine he'll have no problems with

Not convinced about mac101 info, on Bspa site it says Thomas new average is still 4.00 so no reason why he can't guest.

From what I saw new averages issued 291021 have jack as 5th in Birmingham averages so average must be higher than 4.80 (Morris) and below 5.01 (Shanes). I believe neilsen is 4.76?

Yes I agree, I amended my reply because of my mistake, I read it wrong. For some reason not all teams have new averages.

I'd hazard a guess it is 4.94. His 17 fixtures from this year (Ave 5.28), plus his last 3 from 2019 (from which he only scored 2 points).
