CH's September average (8.98) is too high to guest for Plymouth. If Redcar don't qualify then CW would be an option, as would Oxford's Nicholls and  Brummies' Sedgeman.

If Scunny don't qualify then Douglas (9.38) is also too high.

Barker's GS average has dropped to 8.00, which means (with home enhancement) Plymouth have 8.40 for home meetings. Sedgeman fits home and away. CW fits home and away (just) as his average appears to be identical . Can't use Nicholls though ( 8.45 from 1 Sep.)

Redcar might qualify yet!

Quite an achievement for Plymouth to reach the playoffs with 2 matches to spare. 6th place would be preferred finish for easiest quarter final, Edinburgh would be alot tougher especially if sam masters is fit. On the other hand it would be nice to stop Redcar making the playoffs just to p*** Bellers101 off.

They had the pick of the riders in the league to get them there though.

Maybe but if all the riders stayed fit we would have finished top:t:

If all the riders stayed fit then Eddie would probably have finished as a 2nd string!!

BTW Happy Birthday today Eddie. Hope you get loads of greetings from all your Glad fans.

Maybe you could declare yourself fit again and return for Tuesday so that Redcar get the 4 points that would ensure Plymouth finish 6th!!!:t:

No! We have already been against Plymouth 6 times this season! May as well stayed in the Prem, if going against the same team so many times!

Swear this is getting fixed to have northern teams against each other and southern teams together!

Kennett would have been replaced by now if he hadn't got injured, they have done well to get away with guests all season, must be a very cost effective way of running the team.

I doubt the quality of Guests they have had to book have been "cost effective" at all - quite the opposite as they are hostages to mercenaries , no need to name names but a few will ask  and get top buck everywhere or try to!.

Clearly had Barker stayed out of trouble and Gilkes stayed fit they would have been very strong anyway. Losing MPT at the same time and Bowtell who was very strong at home and vastly improved in last few months he rode away was a clear blow too.

They would possibly prefer Redcar to finish 7th as Scunny don't have as many usable Guest options as others elsewhere have explained.

Fine seasons for Barker, Bowtell and Gilkes until circumstances intervened.

Morley exceeding expectations when called upon.

Hans not always banging in the big points but playing a unifying captains role throughout.

Injury plagued season for MPT that’s prevented him getting in his stride. A tantalising glimpse of what he could offer before being sent into the fence at Wimborne road.

But obviously only the guests that have got us to the playoffs eh!!

Still hopefully a chance that Eddie’s available before the end of the now extended season. Those of us that have seen him dominate around the Coliseum know what he’s capable of and that on that form few guests would have matched him.. Doubters will doubt and I guess we’ll never know how it could have played out.

The deserter being the only proven error in judgement of the starting seven.

So, onto the playoffs! Still the un-fancied underdogs. Let’s go and ruffle the plumage of the leagues elite.

re the kennett versus guest scenario, if  matt ford was in that situation he would look at it as a very simple decision "can i permanently sign a rider who will outperform the guests that will be available to me??if no then i go with guests all season" Footnote 5yrs ago pretty certain he would have found a good replacement not so sure this yr
