They have before, that's why Coventry had to choose between Hamill and Hancock. If a club has 3 no1's wanting to ride for them, it would take a strong person to say no. Nobody is blaming the clubs decision to sign those riders but more the rule setters - who are the clubs after all!
Sings4Speedway
Plymouth are strong enough to cover for Kennett with R/R or guests. The issue is that they made the announcement and the the replacement back tracked. Should have got the signing sorted before announcing Eddis is stepping down. He just needed to do the first meeting and the a facility would have been granted.....

Maybe Eddie wasn’t keen on landing himself with a 28 day ban for withholding his services, in the hope he would be signed up by a weekend track?

I don't think Plymouth would be allowed a facility for Edward Kennett as he has not ridden for the club & withdrew prior to any official team declaration being made

I'm not going to give you details as it would betray something told in confidence. Just to say the Plymouth promotion have not been sat idle, have come up with perfectly good solutions, agreed at least one deal only to be told by people "more senior" to them, that they will not allow it to happen. Bagpuss
No surprise there, self interest as per. No doubt one or two promoters got twitchy about how strong Plymouth might have ended up. Shame.

LisaColette
Just one person can decide? Does that mean it might have been the chairman, or maybe a veto situation?

Great news for all at Plymouth that Kennett can continue in the side. The other signing seems to have hit snagging problems in that he is already riding over here in the Premiership aswell as abroad and was veto‘d on that reason. Seems crazy when there is a rider shortage as there is without blocking teams further. Not to worry for Plymouth fans, as on the face of it they have a fantastic team, especially around their home track.
