Serious and foolish but not something involving illegal banned drug use otherwise it would have been 2 years minimum. There others who've done far worse and come back and others accused of far worse who rode on. Up to Plymouth and Ipswich now whether they want to hire him for 2023. No doubting when he's on form he is very entertaining but he does seem to come with a lot of baggage and trouble seems to follow wherever he goes. Expand There is currently an acute shortage of riders in the U.K. for every rider in the U.K. that doubles-up that's one rider short. I can easily see 6 double-up riders retiring @ the end of this season that's 12 team places alone! Any rider currently riding in Poland but not the U.K. will require big bucks to do so in 2023 so I don't see that as the solution. We must encourage U.K. talent to take up the sport & welcome our commonwealth cousins. Even it was prescription pain meds he was putting others at risk competing when he shouldn't have been. Expand Without the SCB revealing exactly what caused the test to be failed it is pure speculation if he was putting others at risk. At least their Promotion sought replacements for injured riders, Kinsley, Palin and.Kennedy. Gladiators Promotion made no attempt to find a replacement for Kennett. They've repeatedly said they've tried numerous options. Some had Swedish commitments, some wanted silly money, some couldn't get Visas and at least one PL rider was refused by his Promoter who is on Management Committee according to various comments made on here by people on the know. Plus they replaced Gilkes and Bowtell and Atkins didn't they?? Morley, Complin and McGurk then Coles. Last year Poole had a long wait for their play-off QF as Leicester & Scunthorpe had rain offs & were not in a rush, so waited a week to re-arrange their fixtures. This year the exact same thing has happened to Glasgow / Leicester. The BSPL had the opportunity to try and avoid these fixture issues, but did nothing! Expand I agree, I was amazed there wasn't already a rule to prevent this but then again the speedway rule book has always been a bit of a mess.
