Popular Post crescent girl
As was proven by the huge crowd at the GB/Australia Test, people will turn out in their droves to see top names they cannot expect to watch in regular action. The names of Tai and Bartoz (five World titles!) alone will pull them in, and having the rest of their nations' SON squads on parade as well is just icing on the cake. Full marks to Allied, and to Team GB for honouring their sponsorship. Can't wait!
Bagpuss
So assuming it's six man teams, what would GB's strongest side be? Woffinden Lambert Bewley Ellis Cook King

Or will they announce it as soon as they sign off the squad? It's the shape more than anything I can see him trying one of his dive bomb manoeuvres down the back straight and ending up in the overflow car park I don't think there'll be any racing at Brough this year anymore, after all the shale people took on the track walk If he tried one of his dive bomb manoeuvres he’d probably end up in Newcastle s town centre lol

I'm sure Tigers' fans would rather see their team especially when things could get expensive? If the track is prepared and raceable, I don’t really care if I watch the Tigers or anyone else round Ashfield. I’ll gladly pay my money and watch, because it’s always an entertaining track. Though it would be nice to see four more home matches for the Tigers…
Midland Red
Don’t bemoan an attractive meeting - live speedway at your track. On behalf of speedway fans from Coventry, Eastbourne, Birmingham, Newcastle, Arena Essex, etc etc
Deano
This is the kind of meeting, British Speedway needs at this moment in time. Congrats to Glasgow for pulling it off. Up Team Gb!
mikebv
Too far to go, but would definitely pay for a stream if no TV coverage.. Well done Glasgow... Let's hope for no 'cry offs' and the best half dozen from both nations attend... Could be a cracking night..
Jaizer
Think our promotion to be applauded for this. Only time out with SON going to see potentially woffy, Lambert, bartosz, magic, dudek. Honestly rather go to this than play offs, can't wait to see teams

Ah cheers, so perhaps 7 or 8 man teams with U21's as reserves.

If you read the original link it is 6 man teams featuring the GB and Polish SoN squads. So as others have posted The GB squad is likely to be Woffinden, Lambert, Bewley ( 2 of whom will be used in the Belle Vue meetings) and two U21's , one of whom will make the team at Belle Vue, probably Tom Brennan. The 6th rider will presumably be someone like Adam Ellis.

What are the chances that it'll be Glasgow riders added? Cook for GB and Nowak for Poland?
IainB
Is there an "official" Test Match race format? Back in the day when they were regular fixtures on the calendar they always used to be 8 man teams riding over 18 heats

Noelinho
Just got my ticket. Should be great - the GB vs Australia Test a couple of years ago was certainly worth it. I only hope the weather is better - the last Test match was a June meeting!
