Belle Vue is the obvious choice, cant see why they dont have 2 in Britain, Belle Vue maybe the second in the series and Cardiff a bit later on.

I have said before that I "believe" that the Welsh tourist board do put a significant chunk of money into the Cardiff GP on the understanding it remains the only GP in Britain.

If people know the facts of this matter, one way or the other, can they tell us please?

Of more interest will be the rare opportunity to see the likes of Gusts, Salonen, Kvech and the young Poles who will be making rare UK appearances (can't recall any of them over here before, but something may have escaped my notice.)

Jan Kvech rode at Glasgow in 2018 in the World U21 Team Championship qualifier and looked impressive scoring 15 points for the Czech Republic from 6 rides including a 6 pointer double in one race. From the UK side that won the meeting, only Connor Mountain is still riding in the UK.

He can wear 16 on his back but he is not riding at 16 - he is riding at 6

With Brennan no longer the wild card, the No.16 race jacket opened up and British bosses have nominated Flint. The 19-year-old steps into the line-up for the biggest meeting of his career so far.

Screm never mentioned the draw, infact he solely stated race jacket, don’t know why you’re arguing about it

Because he is insisting more than once that he is riding AT 16 and he isn`t. And i`m not arguing about it just stating facts. Why has the press release even mentioned no 16 - they could have just said he comes into the meeting proper.

How do you work that out when for TV purposes only the back  will be open  :)

I don't know what will be open the promotion for the event said free entry to the stadium does not say what or where is open, can understand only opening a certain section, but if you let people into the better viewing areas, they may want to book them seats in a future event

Covid passports aren't obligatory like they were when I went Principality for a rugby event,so should be ok gaining access;)It isn't sold out either unlike it was when I last attended.:t:

I think it should be quite easy to get in as long as everybody is prepared.

Went to the Stereophonics and it was so easy to get in.

It’s going to be very busy , quite a few events on Saturday in the city .

There are but it really wont be anywhere near as bad as they make out in the media. Even with multiple events including football and cricket and the rail situation.

Ed Sheeran caused traffic chaos on the M4 with tailbacks, but I had friends in Cardiff on one of the nights and it wasn't that bad.

I hope the crowd holds up this year , I’ve just got a feeling it will be noticeably down, I just don’t see or feel the buzz around speedway for it and everyone seems to say no I’ll watch it on TV , I do feel it’s time for a change of venue, maybe up in the north east somewhere ,anything to get that buzz back

Unfortunately over time people lose interest, Cost ultimately is what drives attendances and for me once you've been a few times...

They get out what they put in and its succesful and a worthwhile event for Cardiff.

I dont think speedway offers anything to attract non speedway fans. It's too expensive for what it is.

I think the UK could host another event. I think lots of people in England would prefer an event in England because of travel and cost (hotels).

The thing is that even if it had an additional round or a round instead of Cardiff the same problems would arise over time

Regarding using speedway venues think ultimately revenue is probably a key factor in the decision. I can't imagine that revenue from speedway venues would make it particulalry worthwhile compared to big stadiums, hospitality, sponsorship and subsidies.

Capacity wise, Bradford would be the obvious choice for a second GP. Unviable as a league track nowadays, as an 800 crowd would be pitiful in a stadium of that size, but would work for GP's, SON etc.

For the SGP2 meeting on Sunday Berwick`s Leon Flint has been promoted into the meeting and will wear the No16 race jacket.

Berwick will now have two riders in the SGP2 at Cardiff on Sunday, Jonas Knudson and now Leon Flint has been promoted into the full meeting and will wear the No16 race jacket.

Not that it matters really but I think not, above is my two posts from yesterday regarding Flint and the SGP2, one on the Cardiff SGP thread, the other on the Berwick2022 thread, at no point do I mention riding at 6, rather he will wear the No16 race jacket.

Anyway enjoy the SGP, enjoy the SGP2, and enjoy Leon riding at 6 with a No16 race jacket.

Why did you yesterday repeat back to me the quoted press release in that case. Anyway it is now confirmed that Flint does ride at 6 and Brennan goes at 7.

Has Knudsen resigned for Berwick then?
