They've closed gate 4 because of all the ruts & gate 3 is under investigation because a tractor fell down a hole! Gates 1 & 2 ain't looking too clever either! A speedway meeting is just a speedway meeting, a GP is a whole different kettle of fish with a different audience (youngest will go to a GP, he won't go to a league meeting) where the whole experience of the day and not just the meeting, counts. I have always wondered why they don't do Cardiff in September or October, there would be no drying issues and probably less pressure on hotel prices in the area(although they would still be expensive). They said on tv that he withdrew with stomach & chest pains and after assessment an ambulance was requested to take him to hospital for further checks. I think Welsh Rugby have it back beginning September to get pitch ready for Autumn internationals. Most of their non Rugby events are June, July and August.
