That's as good as any other theory, but pretty futile as anyone with a spreadsheet and time on their hands can work out the average. The team position gives a range for the average without any calculation anyway - Flint's average is between 6.34 and 6.02 according to the official GSAs.

Does seem ridiculous when you can clearly see the riders averages above and below their team position...
NeilWatson
I've done this while watching the GP but think it's OK: Less than More than 6.34 Flint 6.02 5.00 Thomas 4.00 3.91 Kemp 5.00 Bailey 3.91 Gilkes 2.00 4.72 J Thompson 5.19 Freeman 6.93 Bowtell 4.15 5.31 Hume 5.00 4.27 Jenkins 3.00 5.98 Palin 5.51
slyfox
Rising Stars should have to use their actual average when guesting. To stop the silly use of guests with double the average of the rider they replace.

He is fractionally above Aaron Summers (6.02) in Berwick's final figures. NBJ is still No 1, on 6.34. The total average for all seven riders is only 39.16. From the 2021 matches only, Leon is second with 6.40, with Kasper Andersen the top man on 6.50.
