If it’s against the rules, do you not think that Belle Vue, Peterborough or Wolves would perhaps have taken issue with it? Maybe?

Maybe they have, but like a lot of things in speedway they simply get swept under the carpet.

Eurosport will already be there setting up so calling off early on the day won’t make much difference to them now. Can see them waiting till about 6.00pm.

Fair comment but it's not just the physical setting up (which presumably would then remain in situ until a restaging), there's also satellite costs, broadcast time  to fill etc.

Can't really see that with BV already having sold hundreds of tickets for next Thursday... Sheffield ran a meeting last Sunday so would that not be a possibility?

Regardless, most of the heavy and persistent rain has passed overnight and this morning. Still the threat of showers this afternoon but fingers crossed, if the track is ok now, with the breeze constantly drying it out too, we will be good to go.

No dogs night.Imagine if off tonight you will have 1st leg next Monday with 2nd leg next Thursday.

It’s not dogs night it’s dogs in the afternoon, last race 5.22pm.
Can’t move Belle Vue fixture when they already presold over 1000 tickets!

Depends how many riders both sides would be happy to have missing as theres a championship play off match on sunday that gets priority Redcar v Edinburgh  so no Pickering , R Worrall or Wright

Connor Mountain guested in place of Jordan Palin in the Tigers v Panthers meeting. He scored 8+1 and won the meeting for the Panthers.

The only caveat to this post is that the rules could have been rewritten more than once without letting anyone know.

Might use “under the counter rules” similar to Mountains “under the counter” average.

012.4 Facilities – page 113

D1) Absent Rising Star – Same star rider or lower.

Palin 1 replaced by Mountain 4.

Premiership and Championship have different rules re Absent Rising Stars

First visit to Sheffield in years so really looking forward to this meeting, hopefully the weather holds off.  This tie can go either way and I have a feeling that who ever wins it will win the final.

I don't think anyone would question it,,, as it may be their turn to have their back scratched next

Correct...

If Mountain does ok, one of the other 3 might want to use him later in the play offs... :D

I know this is in jest, but wasn't there a rule where a rider can't guest for multiple clubs in the play offs?
