Premiership Play-Off Ties CONFIRMED

Recommended Posts

On no planet would Wolves pick Peterborough that's for sure.

Something very iffy going on imo.

Belle Vue 40 - 50 WOLVES

Belle Vue 41 - 49 WOLVES

WOLVES 48 - 42 Belle Vue

WOLVES 49 - 41 Belle Vue

But they're trying to convince people that Wolves wanted to face Peterborough.

WOLVES 47 - 43 Peterborough

WOLVES 42 - 48 Peterborough

Peterborough 51 - 39 WOLVES

Peterborough 49 - 41 WOLVES

Absolutely correct, this is just to fit in the scheduled play off dates and normal race nights. Oh well it was nice while it lasted. Belle Vue to win the title now.

All to do with logistics, Belle Vue Sheffield, closer for fans to travel =  larger crowds. Same with Wolves and P/Bora. Very unfair on Wolves or P/Bora, depending on who of the 2  finish top, as the choice has been taken away from them. Still think Wolves have enough in reserve to beat P/Bora over the 2 legs, then finish the campaign as champs by beating the winner of the other semi. Hope I am wrong as on paper Belle Vue look the strongest through my rose tintered glasses.:D:D

Also if we come the top, surely we have the right to choose if we want the first meeting at home.....

To be fair CVS has stated he wanted the first leg first and Peterborough have said they wanted the second leg so that’s pretty clear cut to me.

Afraid not, Peterborough easily through to the final. Unfortunately Harris, Andersen and Nicholls are track specialists. On the other hand we are generally awful at Alwalton.:(

What a farce the top two will not meet in the final now as a neutral lets hope sheffield wins it now

I expected that Peterborough, if they topped the table, would pick Wolves, so the top 2 were probably never destined to meet in the final. Wolves were never picking Peterborough though! Can't believe they'd even try to convince anyone that was the case...!

Does seem strange why pick the one team that has shown to be the most difficult to beat at Monmore ,surely you would prefer to face that team in the final at least

Much the same as Peterborough with Belle Vue

Announcement from Wolves. All very odd.

I believe this press release contains as much truth  as the one we get each year after the AGM's telling us how wonderful things are in the sport & how everyone was "on the same page".:D

BV got a really good chance now.

My concern is that Sheffield will be riding their home leg 4 days after they last rode at home. BV will be riding their home leg 3 and a half weeks after they last rode at home. Could be a leveller.

What looked to becoming a great end to the season with Sheffield and Belle Vue showing a bit of form to challenge Peterborough and Wolves.Still could be a great end.But it has been tarnished imo with this announcement. No way would Wolves have picked Peterborough.Peterborough may have picked Wolves but that's not up for discussion until the league top spot has been sorted. That won't be until tomorrow.

I like how CVS said it is prudent to get the dates known to maximise time for fans, riders etc to prepare for the ties. When was the last time they ever cared about the fans when changing/sorting dates.
