ruckerroo
First time at speedway since eastbourne shut, thought it looked a tight match on paper. Â Proved anything but, kent outgated and outpaced on a slick track. One sided match and rushed thru.
cityrebel
A flat end of season feel about tonight's meeting. A walk in the park for Leicester.
old bob at herne bay
Kent well spanked tonight. 5 man team and even our 2 big guns failed to land a blow. Maybe not the enthusiasm with no chance of a p. off spot.
waco
As Ruckeroo says the meeting rushed through to accommodate the end of season doo  in the bar after,,,,,,,Kent consistently out gated by a strong lions team..but no track grading  and watering to assist the likes of Nicholls and Batch to overtake ,,The fans go for the racing and tonights was spoilt ,,, it seems the after meeting activities were more important than the meeting itself,,,this is not what the fans expect !....Shame the rest of the season has been enjoyable tonight i was just annoyed the way it was run
old bob at herne bay
That's a very poor show Waco ... very poor indeed.  Didn't know that the "planning issues" restricted the time allowed in the bar , just the on track time to an 8.30 pm curfew. So totally unecessary to rush through the entertainment. Maybe Len likes to get to bed early. He might pay the price in dissing fans from attending the remaining Royals meetings , assumming the weather holds for anothe month ?
topsoil
Speedway fans. Moan when the meeting is drawn out. Moan when the meeting is rushed through. 1

BrizHeathen
Kent is a long midweek drive for most away fans, the early finish was appreciated by myself tonight. My first visit to Central Park and I was quite impressed with the overall experience and friendliness of staff and may I add reasonable food prices. A decent looking race track, although as others have said it was very slick tonight, with hardly any passing after turn 2.

old bob at herne bay
Some interesting comments on the early finish to the meeting. The consensus seems to be sod the racing, just prep a slick track with no passing after turn 2, stuff whether we win or lose ? Could have forfeited the match gave Leicester 4 points and just have the end of season knees up in the bar ? £18 a ticket for a booze up ?

I wasn't complaining at Leicester last Saturday either, for another slickly run meeting. I initially thought they were rushing it through to enable the Lions to get to Glasgow tonight. I'd forgotton all about the rave up, it's of no interest to me.
FinnThomsen
I know that Leicester wanted the meeting done asap as they are at Glasgow tonight. I think you will find that they were the first out of the pits for most races.

They were indeed, not sure if being at Glasgow had anything to do with that though (off tonight anyway) but it was pretty obvious and frustrating that on a number of occaisions there were two or three riders at the tapes waiting for one rider to appear. Quite often with seconds to spare...according to my watch..lol
