We Monarchs just wish we knew our final league position. Tracks who started late and others who called meetings off early haven’t helped anybody.

Hasn't helped anybody but with the state of finance at the moment in speedway you can't really blame clubs for calling off early but yes it is annoying for us fans. Leicester called off early the other week coz of the forecast but as it turned out the wet stuff never arrived and the meeting cudve gone ahead. Stewart Dickinson held his hands up to this on the mic on Saturday. But if you have no money in the pot to risk it till half hour before start time then sadly it is wot it is.

Was a cracking meeting at Leicester vs Monarchs on Saturday, shame Rowe & Kemp were not up to much coz if they were you wouldve won. Pickering, wow wot a rider!

Interesting that now it’s getting to the serious end of the season it looks like the top six is already sorted . All 6 clubs  have made at least one change to there team over the season to improve there sides due to injury or loss of form  and out of the six clubs four of them are predominantly Friday night tracks which will be hard to sort who rides on an off night and who has choice of guests for riders on the side night .     Also it’s still mathematically possible that Birmingham can sneak in but will need some unusual results to make the top six .

So who picks who later in the process teams will have to be making the right choice. Also it’s just good to get a very strange season fixture wise due to Eastbourne’s demise and Newcastle’s Promotion giving up there licence at the end of the season coming to a climax .Good luck to all sides who have battled a post COVID season and hope the best side comes to the top and thanks to all riders for getting the show back on the road

Josh is so exciting on any track. Richie coming  back has helped Sam and Josh. Kye in his first season has been excellent. Scunny away was probably our worst meeting. Think Poole then Glasgow must be favourites. Drew will come on. Anders bit low on confidence but talent is there.

Us Pirates should be there at the end, a lot cud depend on Nielsen comin back & if he does he needs to be ready to mix it from the off.

But I wouldn't rule any team out including the Monarchs, all about comin good when it matters as we have done on more than one occasion. Poole av had a late run, finished 4th & gone on to win the title.

Going by the original date for play offs being from 17th September (why have rules if you are going to break them to suit others), 4 teams have now ridden their allotted 20 meetings & as of today, the league placings are

1. Poole     2. Redcar    3. Glasgow    4. Leicester    5. Edinburgh    6. Scunthorpe

These are not final placings as some teams could not be bothered in arranging on alternative nights so were given a 10 day extension. This now means that the play offs have been shortened from just over 6 weeks to around 5 weeks &, as it stands at the moment, 4 of the 6 teams mainly race on Fridays. Lets us see how many change a race night to suit when the weather gets worse during October.

Let's not forget SON is on one of those Friday's in October too!

The Friday tracks have a strict pecking order.  Edinburgh is first, l'm not sure who comes next - maybe Scunny?   But what this means is that, if drawn against each other, the 'senior' club will ride on Friday, and their opponents will probably race the return leg off-night.

That's only if they have an off race night

1. Edinburgh 2. Scunthorpe 3. Glasgow 4. Redcar is the pecking order, I believe.  Although another factor is whether the team above in the league table wants first or second leg at home.  In that case, they may have to move off race-night to accommodate that. That's probably not an issue, since the four Fridays teams set to take place in the play-offs are almost in reverse order in the table to their priority.

I think the first-round (quarter-finals) ideally need to be held on the weekend of October 1st-3rd and the semi-finals the weekend after that, to allow time for a couple of rain offs somewhere.

Majority of teams have a limited off- night facility.

Not for any of the Friday night tracks involved. Edinburgh are the ones likely to stick to Fridays and even they have the capacity to run on a Saturday, if needed.  I don't think the other three tracks have restrictions to race-nights at all.

I know Edinburgh have the facility but like you say not keen to use it.

Glasgow can use any night(I Think).
