What's the team you would like at Ipswich Baldyman?

I don't have a team worked out,,, it's not really something I do, but I like new young fresh riders that can be turned into world class riders, along with a couple of dependables,,,, and a couple of triers that I can get behind

Omg,,,it just keeps getting worse for me,, now people want Covatti,,,, another rider that hasn't got any improvement in him,,,,,and is as useless as a chocolate tea pot if the has nothing in it for him

What's your team Geoff lol

It's difficult to put in a new 5 faces looking at it as other riders are nailed on for various others

So opted for some entertainers but they need a surface to enable that

Heeps averaged 4.50 in 2021 matches only! So if he can reach a 5.10 ave, that's an improvement of 0.6, I'd say that's "doing well"

So you’re going to disregard the entire season he done when he was injury free in 2019 when every team was stronger than it is now where he averaged 6.30?

He started this year slowly, we’ve all admitted that, but Taps has already pointed out he was still only a couple of points off holding that previous average. It was post shoulder injury that his average took a massive hit, he just wasn’t fit.

So yes, he won’t be “doing well” to maintain a 5.10 average in the slightest in my opinion. You’re also entitled to your opinion of course so we’ll agree to disagree here.

Dont think he was riding all that though,,, don't think he won a race,, and he was passed numerous times up the inside,, poor track craft. A few people were moaning about his performance and watched watched shaking their heads in disbelief,.  In a way it was not all his fault though,,,, as the rubbish team building put him in heat leader role.

Heeps? Must admit when Taps said he was only a couple of points off holding his average I was surprised at that. Didn’t look right at all at the start of the season. A few were like that though and took a while to get going. Maybe taking the whole year out of racing due to COVID affected him? Everyone is different and it affects some more than others. Who knows.

Allen was another who just didn’t seem right either

I'm surprised you have given up on Allen,,, on 4.8 he looks more of an improver than some

I just try to put a side together as close to the limit which maybe isn’t always the best idea so

doyle, heeps, cook, musielak, king, Allen is doable

jake was practicing his golf the other day so there is a link lol

Musielak is going to Sheffield.

Which makes me wonder about what the Witches are planning because if a rider like that is available and you’re serious you need to get him, only gotta compete with 5 other clubs for riders… but will reserve full judgement until riders are announced,

I think Tobi is the better option out of the 2,,jis average could easily go up by a point or more in our weaker league,,, Doyles likely to stay same,, maybe even drop. And we all know how important one strong reserve is,,,, that's the only reason Panthers won league,,so maybe Tobi better option.   And defo better for me:D

I have a feeling Sheffield and Belle Vue are going to put 2 very strong teams out next season

Would be a terrific signing for Sheffield as he would have been for us or any of the others. Pretty sure all the other Premiership clubs would have loved Doyle also but looks like we’ve beaten them all for him so swings and roundabouts really. Win some lose some

Do you think there is actually much competition for signings or is it more likely just a series of gentleman's agreement carve ups around the board table....

I know you don’t like Doyle but I’d hazard a guess the majority would love him at their club. He’ll give us something that we’ve nearly always lacked, and that’s a reliable big hitter at 1 that can either dig us out of a hole to give us a point, or win us a tight meeting in the latter heats.

Edit: or even help us turn a mauling in to just a heavy defeat  :D

Agree he’s not gonna up his average much if at all, but I’d still have him leading the team all night long. The improvers need to come lower down. Agree on Belle Vue and Sheffield as well. They’ll almost certainly have handy looking teams.
