I'll back it up, its almost 2 points below the team building average and that is before any british reductions if thats still a thing.

Too many risks in that side,  Starke is not going to improve and really only done well last season when at Reserve, Rowe the same he can improve though but only really done well at reserve then got injured so do expect more, Heeps you don't know what you're getting and is a huge risk based on not only his prem form last season but his championship form, if his championship average was high then its less of a risk but he plummetted badly last season,   so straight away you have 3 riders there who would benefit from being at reserve alongside kemp.

Then you have Riss, yes he apparantly had personal issues last season which will affect anyone but his prem form was alarming however his championship form was fairly decent so less of a risk but still a part risk alongside another 3 risks, then add into that the home form of Drew who does make up for it on away tracks, you could end up with the top two scoring double figures and which ever rider is at 6/7 alongside drew then minimal scores from the other 4

The team I posted on the Witches forum today is what I would like to see

Doyle
Rowe
Musielak
Crump
King
Basso
Kemp

3 proper heat leaders at this level, one that can improve his starting average, two who should be able to maintain theirs.

Backed up by an experienced Jason Crump riding at 4, whom if could get fit for the new season could improve, I would expect Jason to average 6/6.5 at most meetings!

Then you have 3 young guns in Rowe, Basso, Kemp...  where you would see Basso/Rowe most likely alternate at the reserve berth throughout the season

going back to the other team at the top, with taking risks, when you have to then change the line up further down the line most of the low-risk options have already been taken by other clubs

Would be good to see Basso get a Prem place, be interesting to see how he does over a full season.

Would be nice to see mads Hansen too but he has ruled out the UK, looks like Basso was quite equal to him in Denmark on most occasions so would be nice to see him rewarded with a prem ride, personally I just like his hat lol

Has to be better to have Rowe as the RS and Drew at 6 - gives an additional 1.5 to strengthen the top 5

Rowe rejected the RS wages and brokered his own deal based on being part of the 1-6. Can't see that changing this year...unless he thinks hes at risk of being left out?

If Rowe misses the start of the Prem season, he'd then come in on a converted Champ ave (3.00) & be more valuable to teams / able to ask for a better deal?

His PL average would still be used. Its only when they miss so many seasons in the PL do they re-assess his average or convert his Championship average.

They convert averages when going Prem - Champ, so unless the rules are different for going the other way, they must convert aves when going from Champ - Prem?

I noticed Adam Ellis used a converted ave, when signing for Scunthorpe after the season started, but Richard Lawson didn't when signing for King's Lynn - a tad confusing!

Why would Ellis get his Prem ave converted & Lawson not get his Champ ave converted, when their situations are identical?

You tell me.This is the BSPA we are talking about. They make the rules up as they go along most of the time.It all depends on who wants who on the lowest possible average. Then it's a case of I'll scratch your back if you'll scratch mine.

I've just noticed that as Lawson signed on 31/5 he did don't have a new Champ ave, maybe he would've got a converted ave if he signed on 1/6?

In the interest of speedway. That is all you need to know.

The days of feeding things to the local paper every week for mass exposure have gone

Is that what’s happening here though? Think you’re being a bit harsh. The team you’ve put up may well be correct, but as Louis says “still to dot the i’s and cross the t’s” so maybe contracts and legal stuff hasn’t all been completed.

Not going to announce anything until that is done.
