Speedway GP`s 2022 under Discovery Sports events

One really interesting bit in the Speedway Star interview with Francois Ribeiro head of Discovery Sports events is that unlike BSI/IMG they will not be the promoters of the Cardiff event. He says a solution has been found and will be announced in November. Surely not the BSPA/SCB/ACU putting  it on ??? If not who ????

Spot on. It's so simple. All points count. Winner of the final gets 20 points regardless.

It is a simple solution and solves everything by making winning the meeting the ultimate goal without undermining the heats.

Agreed, but with the proviso that you would get all 21pts if you were to win all 7 races.
How about an extra point for fastest time of the night

That would work too.

Not sure about the fastest time thing though. I never take much notice of race times.

How about a mixture of both scoring systems??

Up to & including the semi finals it's all points scored during the meeting.

Just those in the final are:-

1st - 25pts

2nd - 21

3rd - 19

4th - 18

I actually like that as an idea.

After having Warsaw cancelled two years in a row and now unable to make that weekend next year, switching attention to Prague now. Is it easy to get around the city?

Great city !!Trams and underground systems. Just one bit of advice- beware of the pick pockets- keep your money safe.

Yes easy to get around. You can get day tickets for trams/underground which is a cheaper way to get around than single journey tickets if you are doing multiple journeys

We always get a 72 hour tram / metro ticket at the main station in Prague. Valid from the time when you first validate it in a ticket machine, so for example midday Friday to midday Monday.

Even better now that there is a metro to the stadium rather than waiting for the tram back at the end of the meeting

Prague is a lovely city to explore, just a shame about the speedway track which is dreadful.

Hi everyone, have just signed up to the forum after following for a while (Peterborough Panthers fan) so feeling pretty good about speedway life:D I am looking to go to a GP next year but cannot make it to Cardiff, which one would you recommend for a weekend away? Prague is looking fairly good as it is a double header and I've never visited the city before, and Wroclaw looks good as well, Any tips much appreciated thanks
