Worst idea ever. Should only be guests for reserves and then if two or more riders are missing.

And given the best reserve and the lowest second string are pretty similar, maybe no guest for him at all?

Two rides for the second string, and two for No7..

And a No8 from the league below to replace the No7..?

Two rides for No6 and two for No8..

And if two riders missing then only a guest if injury related, not fixture clashes, as that is avoidable..

In fact, maybe dont run any meeting that two riders from one team will be missing? Rearrange it...

So many convoluted nonsense regulations have to get brought in due to a lack of strong leadership that prevents the need for them in the first place...

This does ask the obvious question. Why bother with a young Danish rider whose club rides on a Wednesday causing a direct clash with our home meetings? There’s no doubt he is a talent and a top rider in the future, but if he can’t ride in the U.K. on Wednesdays during the Danish season, he’s going to be of little use to our club.

Matt knew he would miss 2 meetings due to Danish League clashes but didn't think Fjelsted would also reach their play-offs, which they have. If Fjelsted win their semi, the final is on 15th September when Poole currently have no meeting!!

Are you talking in both the home and away meetings? ;)

Eh?  As the Wimborne Rd clash has already taken place why would I speculate about the score?

When did Matt say that?

He did say if we can hang on to him mate.   Barring  Danish commitments

Yesterday. He definitely said he wanted to have Basso next season, but sounds like he may be in demand that's the impression I got from the way it was said. Hence why I think it's more of a 'we'll see' situation.

Clearly watching him rise a full season in the UK will help him improve massively.

Definitely. Darcy Ward said he has been telling the young aussies the same thing, when they ask him whether to come to the UK first or go straight to Poland.

The issue as Steve has already mentioned could be Wednesday night fixture clashes, although Poole have managed very well with other Danish riders in the past (Yes I know not always on Wednesdays!)

Incidentally in Brum's meeting preview - such as it is - they still have Ben Basso riding tomorrow?!
