Have they bought him outright then? I think Glasgow have BrennanĀ

I'm just the guy (mug) that pays Ā£17 to watch 4 riders in a race every week So only one Eastbourne rider was willing to take a non programmed ride (heat 15) yet Lawson gets the stick. Your money pays Leicester riders not Eastbourne riders and they weren't willing to take the risk of getting injured for no pay. Ironically they should have taken the ride and pulled up with an engine failure. In that scenario they wouldn't have got any stick and they would have reduced their average albeit just slightly. Clearly they wanted to make a statement and this worked albeit sadly resulting in the the demise of the Eagles - not the fault of the riders but the owners.Ā

The paying punter should not be the victim of riders disputes with their management! Tom Brennan managed to find his way onto the track, fair play to him. Haven't Eastbourne issued on their news/report feed that they were down to 5 riders, Kerr didn't think his engine would last another race at short notice & Lawson was alreadyĀ packing his gear away after (his view) being unfairly disqualified in heat 13

bluebee
Just got back (after a quick pint on the way home in a pub with two fat men dancing!). A cracking meeting. Good hard riding from both sides. Best match I've seen at Leicester though I've missed a few this season. Howarth and Andserson top riders fro the home side. Good to see Jason Crump get a few wins - brought back memories of his imperious rides at Brandon. Good guest in Pickering.Ā Even the lesser riders had a good go at it. Ā I still think league speedway can provide the best spectacle for the sport. I do hope it continues.
Lenny Lion
I thought tonight was a brilliant meeting with some good hard , firm riding but no riders throwing their toys out the pram. Douglas looked shaky but by his own admission struggled for speed which i am sure he can cure.Ā Ā I feared for us when Morris was injured but we got through it . Hopefully we get 7 riders come to the party next week vs Glasgow
