Glasgow v Leicester CL 20/8/21 @19-30

Recommended Posts

Our old foes Leicester are the visitors this week should the rain finally do one and let us have speedway.

Last time the Lions were in town they left with the league title , time for a bit of revenge .

Impressive heat leaders in the shape of Hans Andersen , ex Tiger Nick Morris , Kyle Howarth,  who was impressive in Monday's British Final . And Ryan Douglas . So 4 heat leaders , Zane Kennedy and the Thompson Twins ( though they're better speedway riders than they were pop stars ) makes this a tough task .

We have the busiest guest in the league , Tom Brennan , instead of Ulrich . Well he does ride for Eastbourne so he has to earn money somewhere .

We need to get our act together pronto , so no better place to start than by mauling Stewart Dickson's mob .

Hope it lives up to the potential to be two crackers this weekend

To be honest you couldn’t do much better.;)

Not without cheating , no . Be interesting to see what we actually do with transfer deadline day just over a week away .

Very impressed with Broc Nicol at Poole last night. When asked if he'd ridden at Poole before, he said 'never only once to watch'. Couple of duff rides, but once dialled in, he beat all of our heat leaders! With track craft too, not just gate n go.

Excellent debut.

Good to hear , we'll need him to reproduce that on September the third

I notice Friday's meeting will carry a stream, about £12 I think.

Has anyone seen past streams on Glasgow tv?  Any good, quality, etc. Might have a bash

Very good quality and coverage, with both Michael and Stephen providing excellent commentary,

Don't fancy our chances here, Dickson no doubt be determined for the win. Can't remember Hans Andersen ever riding the track before meaning 4 riders with no experience of the track (other than in youth championship rounds in case of Thompson twins) so hopefully can hit them early and build big enough buffer

Really tough meeting…….need everyone to crank it up a notch…….

The same weaknesses we started the season with are still present. Expecting them to perform differently this far in is unrealistic IMO. We need to change them if we can. Looking forward to Friday but have low expectations. Hopefully Brennan is hungry to earn back some money.

He rode in the GP Qualifier in 2018 I think it was, but pulled out in his first or second heat having come back from injury too early.

Excellent debut.

Tomorrow would be a good time for his season to start, been mediocre to this point.
