damned if you do, damned if you don't. Take it you aren't rushing to the head of the queue to become a promoter then!

I really can't think of ANY good reason to become a promoter of a "sport" that has  so much wrong with it.

I'll wait until it dies its inevitable death and a phoenix rises from the ashes.

It was a bit hard to see from where I was, but it may well have been Ashley Morris and James Shanes - brilliant effort, whoever it was.

You're correct, Shanes & Morris were on the centre green for the penalty shootout.

Happy to criticise and question everything about speedway tho when you have no vested interest. Plum.

Thanks for the abusive comment, I have a £16.50 to £20 interest in every match I pay to see.

This sport really does have the fans it deserves!

Why so early though? This sets a dangerous precedent imo

Not really. Buster and his infamous fuse cornered that market well over a decade ago...

I think you will

find it’s more about him reportedly using the Gerhaart engine which doesn’t seem competitive

He used a GM for his first two races; did he use the Gerhard for the last two? I didn't notice. His first last place, though, was due to one of the Kent riders fencing him.

Would anyone have the full heat times for this meeting? They're not all on the updates site. Thanks in advance.

I don’t have the second-half times, but for the main fixture:

1) 60.03

2) 60.90

3) 60.28

4) 59.75 (Harris, fastest of the night)

5) 59.87

6) 59.85

7) 60.18

8) 61.10

9) 61.10 (this caused some hilarity, “forgot to reset the timer,” etc)

10) 60.28

11) 59.93

12) 61.00

13) 59.94

14) 61.32

15) 60.28

Hope that helps.

Ht 10 Starke or Heeps took him right out to the fence, when he rode across the centre green on lap 4, back to the pits I thought it was going to be a case of handbags at dawn !
