LisaColette
This could be a tougher test for the Pirates than Leicester potentially. Sam Masters Richie Worrall Josh Pickering Nathan Greaves Kyle Thomson William Lawson Luke Crang (speedway updates line ups) Obviously Masters and Richie know how to ride Poole well. I think Nathan has been at Poole before with Swindon, think he did alright. But I am not sure about the others? However considering they won at Glasgow definitely not to be undersetimated. Edit - not sure if there is any news on Ben yet or guest and I guess the no2 position isn't filled yet? SteveLyric2
The club's announcement last week indicated that the Edinburgh away meeting on 6th August is the more likely date for the Number 2 newcomer - thats of course if all the necessary paperwork and permissions are in place.
Fromafar
They will give Poole a run for their money IMO if Pickering and Thompson keep up their recent form, and Lawson gets some decent machinery.
BobC
Kyle Bickley is at No.2 again for this meeting.
szkocjasid
I think Leicester are stronger than Edinburgh. If you can beat Leicester home & away, shouldn't fear any other team!

Also depends who is guesting for Ben.

LisaColette
SIGNING | PIRATES SIGN RATED DANE Poole Pirates have filled the vacancy left by the complications in travel encountered by Czech rider Ondrej Smetana, by signing the promising young Dane Benjamin Basso. Steve Shovlar
Be surprised if we lose this one. Edinburgh are definately one of the top teams this year but I think the Pirates will be too strong for them at home, unless complacency sets in and the way the team are riding I doubt that will happen. Should be a great contest and another good crowd on Wednesday. Of course it might well turn out to be a very different story on Friday when we are heading all the way up there. The Championship needs a Benjamin Hopefully he won't go all Barker-esque and change it to 'Ben' less than 5 minutes after his UK career begins. Also hope he will be referred to by his full name at sunny Armadale on Friday. Abbreviations really are somewhat disrespectful.

MMX Events
King Jamie, good call. I agree about showing respect. I can promise you, at Poole, if Benjamin is introduced as ‘Ben’ it will be because I will have asked him what his preference is. I certainly consider a riders choice as being the most respectful method…That goes for difficult pronunciations too.
Steve Shovlar
A shame our new Signing Basso isn’t riding tonight. Forecast is good. Should be a cracker.
Mr Blobby
Similar if not worse result than last night on the cards. Poole having a top 3 that’s very similar to ours but have the strength in depth also that we most certainly don’t.
Fromafar
Lawson disappoints and don’t think Crang will make any difference to the reserve position.
