Club Merchandise

Recommended Posts

I know people with no interest in football that wear city, united leisure wear and the same with other sports because the product is good, if speedway could get this right its certainly another way of getting the clubs name out there.

It'd be interesting to know what the Eastbourne and Plymouth stuff is actually like in reality.

Like I've said in the Leicester thread, good luck to you and your business, but what's in it for the clubs? As some seem to think it's better for them to do it in house while others sub it out. Is it down numbers through the turnstiles?

If you produce a pair of Leicester Lions underpants (Scott Nicholls shirt style) you can put my name down for a pair, cotton boxer shorts please

I seem to remember a few years back (probably 10 to 15) there used to be a Polish merchandiser who was there at some of the bigger events, Brighton meeting and collector fayres etc. I wonder what their story was. I guess he was trying to cash in on some of the Polish riders appearances in the British League. I seem to remember he had some nice looking stuff

But it will be for those clubs that don't have sufficient time, capital and expertise. Hence Neil Watson's comment and the large number of clubs that settle for the Barber's fairly safe and pedestrian offer.

Arnie....Safe and Pedestrian.....very harsh...What would you like us to stock to make us exciting and vibrant ???

They had very little for sale. Mostly stuff from previous seasons. Next to nothing from this year. No plans to do a Seagulls badge, which is disappointing.

You would think in this day and age just about every club would have some kind of on line shop. Speedway really does need to be dragged into modern times I think.

Links are available on all our tracks websites to take you straight to our merchandise website....Ipswich,King's Lynn,Leicester,Kent,Sheffield,Peterborough and Birmingham

With up to date, fashionable merchandise.

Get with the times, as someone said make tracksuits, gym wear, snapback hats etc. Your not going to see youngsters walking round in Wulfsport jackets anymore.

There's some interesting, and dare I say it, fashionable and funky stuff available from here:

https://www.redbubble.com/shop/?query=speedway&ref=search_box

https://www.redbubble.com/people/Port-Stevens/shop

It's all a bit generic, I don't know who/what redbubble are it looks a bit like a bit of a design marketplace

Like with everything a lot depends on minimum orders and price......We have had many generic Speedway Hoodies...Polo Shirts etc...However Speedway is very much a team event and similar to Football or Cricket...just generic clothing just does not sell
