Interested to see if Heeps rides Foxhall as good for the Stars as he did for Ippo in his last season there. He had a 2019 home average of 7.27..... I'm not holding my breath though I'll be chuffed with a point tonight ,now Rory has stepped in. Tbf he didn't ride FOR the witches this season like he did in 2019, Cam seems to be an every other year type rider.

Steve Shovlar
Both teams tonight are not as strong as the Poole team, in a lower league. This winter will surely se an amalgamation of both leagues. There’s nothing premier about the premier league bar it’s name.

With almost every rider in the top league doubling-down at the moment how would you make it work without dramatically watering down the product?

King and Schlein ride for both and Cook is better than Steve Worrall… Rowe and Allen are better than Kemp and Nielsen Kemp and Starke are miles better than Wright and Hume We get the leagues are closer …. But please if you think the Poole side that beat Leicester last night is better than the Ipswich side tonight then you are clearly deluded… oh hang on sorry yes you are trolling …. It is already doing a good job of watering down so not really an issue. You cannot seriously believe that what makes up the top tier is premier, first class or any other descriptive term you may wish to apply to the top tier of the sport in the U.K. It is a make do season from a racing perspective but going forward it needs to reinvent itself and offer entertainment. Perhaps the IOW could provide some ideas. The current format of 15 heats is old hat, dead in the water and boring. Do promoters have any idea on what constitutes entertainment or better still listen to the punters to see what they would like to watch on a weekly basis throughout the summer. Long gone are the days of a weekly fix so adapt and come up with something new. Perhaps that is beyond the current crop of club owners but changes are need to widen the appeal to new riders and new fans.

That is the issue which would need serious consideration. Perhaps weakening down at reserve by using NL riders. There are riders out there from the continent and Australia who have ridden here that could come back. Ellis Perks, Josh Gracjzonek etc. It could be done. A north south league with north riding against each other twice and the south once. Playoffs top 4 from each section leading to semis and final.
