Neila
Good news for the diamonds to see the season out, a good crowd as well, but I think Rob grant is missing a trick having the car park free, if it was only £1, would bring in £250 -400 each week

He says: "We have dropped the car parking charge of £1 to help make things cheaper. It's OK a minority saying, well you're losing all that money, but in fact our car park holds only 180/200cars depending how well they are parked, then you have to staff it and provide security it was just as easy to forfeit £180 a meeting and help make it cheaper for punters. We regularly get told we are too expensive and if that's the case we don't want to put people off for the sake of £1 on the car park that has more hassle attached than it's worth. If any of you feel strongly about the car park charge by all means help us and buy and extra ticket on the 50/50 draw for £1. The ladies will be walking around at the start of every meeting."

Tsunami
The three callouts by Barry in the box for the owner of a motorcycle, turned out not to be an attendee at the Speedway. It was apparently stolen, driven to the field behind the backstraight and torched by some local lowlife. For first timers at the speedway, this is not the usual interval attraction during a meeting.

Only three callouts?,,, most of the folk a was with thought it had been stolen from the carpark, some even knew whose bike it was. A suggest that because of the callouts going on for most of the meeting that, maybe it wasn't stolen from the carpark afterall.

StevePark
Taken off Facebook: IMPORTANT FIXTURE NEWS Due to stadium requests and staffing issues, we are now moving the SGB Championship fixture against Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway from Sunday 5th September to the week after on Sunday 12th. We appreciate that this is also the date of the Great North Run, so bearing this is mind we are moving the start time back to a 6.30 pm tapes-up, to allow for logistics around the city centre. Tickets for this fixture will be on sale from 1pm today via the following link https://www.trybooking.co.uk/BFMC As a result of this fixture change, we are also having to now move the fixture against Official Birmingham Speedway to Sunday 19th September. This will also be at a tapes up time of 6.30pm.
Dandelion
Will the Eastbourne fixture take place next weekend either? I would assume not given the state of Eastbourne's club right now... So there's gonna be a 2 week gap in fixtures

This is to allow the Eagles the time they need to sort out the advertised issues that are ongoing at the club at the present time. We sincerely hope to have a re-staged fixture date announced very soon and from everyone here at Newcastle, we send all our best wishes to the promotion, team and supporters of Eastbourne 1
