At the first meeting of the year a number of us watched from the first bend, in front of the new building (where is basically where we used to stand)

This was great because it's not only a great viewing spot but it also allowed for plenty of social distancing.

Unfortunately for the second meeting the area was barriered off. (and was barriered off the third meeting also)

I did email the speedway office to find out why but was told it was a decision from the stadium owners in conjunction with the local council.

I have emailed the stadium owners on enquiries@owlertonstadium.co.uk but sadly never received a response.

Does anyone on here have a contact with the stadium owners that might be able to help??

If anyone else wants to contact them also then that's great but please be careful how you word your email - I don't want this to come across as just Speedway fans moaning again!

I know that in an ideal world we'd have the whole stadium opened up again but I'm not asking for the world here, I just can't see any reason why standing on the first turn was ok for the first meeting but not now. Once the restrictions are over at the end of the month and more fans are allowed into Owlerton then surely the more viewing areas the better ?
