MartinBSN
Anyone got any idea where to find the Rising Star averages? The speedway GB website seems to be lacking the usual rolling averages pages they used to have. Not sure why it isn't included on the GSA even as a side note. Knowing their averages would be interesting. However, knowing the RS averages is even more important than one of just interest. Did I not read that they are eligible to be promoted into the top 5 of their teams? Surely we fans should be able to see how these riders fit into their teams average wise. Or am I expecting too much?

Not sure if they have to do the 4h/4a though for the average to stick

The higher rising stars with an average will probably move as per their rolling average. There has been team averages in the SS this last few weeks but mainly Premiership. The BSPA (now BSP Ltd) site used to have the rolling averages + bonus & year average which was quite informative. The rolling averages link has disappeared although you can still get to the page with some digging, it just hasn't been updated!

If the rising star scheme means anything then any rider on the list should see their average un-altered.

Unfortunately that isn't the case. Rising stars will move into the team according to their average

Mr Blobby
The whole this is a load of nonsense anyway, hope it gets scrapped.

Should just say each team must have three brits. One of which must be under, say, 19. And another under 21. I see Plymouth, who signed Luke Ruddick as there "Rising Star", have now transferred the Rising Star status to Alfie Bowtell! How is that possible? It gives them an extra 0.25 (ish) to play with for any subsequent team changes as Alfie has a higher average. Bloody ridiculous. 1

Why? surely if the aim is for these riders to improve then potentially moving into the main body and challenging themselves is a good thing, no point protecting them the scheme makes it easier for them to get a team spot and also gives certain benefits like guarantees on points money and fuel and tires provided by their clubs
