Every Thursday we have a match i give up a shift as i work an afternoon/evening shift. So i lose about £70-£80 then £20 admission,£3 programme. So every time we race on a Thursday it basically costs me about £100.Need to be racing on Mondays again that would save me loads.

Nex t ime we are both there, i'll buy u a pint m8:t:

Nice 4 points on the road for Dad's Army .

Took me a few seconds to figure out why I was listening to "Who do you think you are kidding Mr Hitler" during the parade on Monday... When do Dad's army invade Monmore, I might go for the first time since Soou-pah Troopah retired.

That's kind of you.But I shouldn't complain really.Semi retired now, only do delivery work part time with one of those being a Thursday.Still I suppose it doesn't change the fact I lose a days pay plus spending money on admission etc to watch such a poor team.

The person who put the team together at the start of the season should put himself in the fans shoes and see how he would feel.

Do you actually bother to read scorecards? Lawson and Jorgensen have been excellent all season.

Excellent their scores may have been but you built a team on 2019 averages & both obviously have a lower average than Riss as he's riding at #1, he isn't even #1 in his Championship team.

Not a surprising result after losing Rory ( get well soon )was always going to be tough even with him -  well done to the Panthers - I think for the Stars it’s all about building towards March 2022 but hopefully get a few wins in what’s left of the 2021 season .

Building,  What’s to build ?   It will be a case of who is available on the right average at the right money.

To a point you are correct that’s the way speedway has gone - what I mean those in the team this season  put in some great performances show passion to want to stay with the club for 2022 . Win a few meetings would also help on and off track nothing worse going into the closed season on the back of losing meeting for riders and fans alike .

Regardless of points limit you have to be competitive in order to retain the fan base, most fans expect their team to win at home, maybe the odd narrow defeat but not losing by big margins, this has been the case for decades.

Lynn though has always been a track that most riders like so maybe not so much home advantage.

Rider shortage and lack of interest in non British League riders coming over here, will hurt any team struggling, imagine what a NKI type rider could do for this team if swapped with a second string or reserve.

Peterborough certainly the in form side at the moment, I still cannot see how they were tipped for the wooden spoon this season when you look at some of the dross being served up elsewhere. And they will always have a strong reserve - passed their best they maybe but any of Harris, Nicholls or Andersen at reserve will be potent to say the least.

Lynn look a right sorry mess and it is a shame to see them so poor when you look back ten years or so at how formidable they were in the old Premier League.

Probably very little at the moment, is injury prone to say the least and his form has gone.

I agree with that, but the problem with speedway is it is built on averages. So those that put in the effort and give great performances attain higher averages normally and then don't become so appealing the next year unfortunately.

They were tipped for the wooden spoon by many because a lot of them were as you say past their best but it’s clear now that despite that they are all riding well and are exceeding all expectations at the moment. They have gelled well as a team, are enjoying their speedway and confidence is high.

That together with good team management is providing the results.

It was a cracking all round team performance on the night and whilst Lynn were unlucky to lose Schlein early on I still think Panthers had too much in the tank for the Stars overall.

The racing was quite good with several very entertaining races that weren’t decided by the first bend, the crowd appeared quite good and I would have said Peterborough fans accounted for close to half the attendance.
