Rowe appears on the Rising Star list as a 4* rider so can guest for another RS rider regardless of his own MA.

So technically. He can ride as a proper rider for Ipswich. But also sign as a rising star for say belle vue or Sheffield and have 2 teams in 1 league.

Laughable

Of course not, no rider can be in more than one declared 1-7 in the same league. Any rider on the Rising Star list is entitled to guest for another RS of the same grade or lower. http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/risingstars21

But surely signing a contract to be in a clubs 1-6 relinquishes his spot as a rising star

To be honest, having Rowe there improves the entertainment from my perspective..

It's £36 for me and the lad tomorrow and having him there instead of Bates should mean a closer match and racing..

However..

I can dispassionately "couldn't care less" who wins, but maybe those that still see league racing in the UK as "real" may not...

And that unfortunately is the ultimate  downfall of the way the sport is ran..

Eventually you pee the die hards off (your biggest, most loyal fans), so much that they then lose their enthusiasm and (more importantly), their attendance..

Finally..

Is Jack there or have Torun got a meeting Friday?

Surely this means Sheffield are riding without a "rising star" in the team. Is that within the rules?

Sheffield had Kyle Bickley as the guest for Josh Bates last week. He is not in a team as a Rising Star but is on the Rising Star list, so perfectly legal as would be Nathan Greaves, James Shanes or Connor Mountain.

Connor Mountain races for Lynn

As farcical as this RS guesting situation is in itself the more pertinent point for me is the impact on his own team

If Anders does well then he puts the very slim chance his own team has of catching Sheffield as the vulnerable 4th placed team in deeper jeopardy

I suppose the only saving grace is that in the scheme of things the play offs and even winning a championship mean eff all in terms of any tangible reward!

That's always possible whoever the guest, at whatever position.

Imagine if Poland ran with this?

I am sure Betard would be delighted for Woffy to top score for Gorzow to help knock Wroclaw out of a play off slot..

I am sure that they would also be both eager and delighted to sign off their several hundred thousand euro sponsorship deals for both team and individual again for next year...

Whilst such nonsense exists, the sport can never move forward..

No matter what else they try and do to improve its following..

"Being taken seriously" and "Having credibility" are two simple and very, very, basic fundamentals if you want to attract investment or just basic custom...

Can't argue with that but at least the replacement has similar or lower average

In this case its 3 points higher on true form but masked by the RS grading system

I'm thinking that perhaps Ioswich should replace Anders with a new signing up to his 5.49 average and then replace Drew with Anders as the RS

Can't see anything in the rules to prevent that....
