Chewbacca
JPB certainly improved with each ride and is a definite upgrade from Joe” If he scores 2 or 3 every match he’s doing his job, especially as the other reserve position is likely to be strong all season.

Also there is a circus currently being held less than 5 miles from Brough Park where I seen first hand on Saturday people queuing up and paying at the entrance!! City council won’t allow pay at the gate and apparently neither will ARC

Once these guys pay their cash on the gate do they then sign in for track and trace (or use the NHS app to sign in on their phone)? The original issue at Birmingham for ARC was once people paid on the gate a pinch point was caused in the stadium with fans having to sign in and social distancing went right out of the window... If fans are being allowed in anywhere without using a track and trace system the venue are breaking current Covid regulations... If this is the case it also shows the disparity in how different local authorities are managing the process... it also shows the benefits of owning (or having control) of your own stadium and not having a landlord imposing further restrictions on your operations Regards THJ
Ringitsneck
Great result and big performances from Mountain and Wethers which added to the expected score from Steve, not sure we can have him guesting every week but it would help! Disappointed to see a Berwick youngster named as our number 8 but understand our Gems stance on that issue. Track was dusty as our Trackman learns his trade but understandable, the lack of crowd was a worry as the rallying efforts didn’t work. Banning certain individuals hasn’t helped but it’s his club and he can do what he pleases. Not sure what the fund cash is being spent on but why put a limit on it ? If we are in such a desperate state then just keep it open surely ? Having said that , having to put the begging bowl out is a very worrying sign, the landlords clearly don’t want us there, the COVID rules and theirs are too restrictive and the on line ticket sales is putting our aged supporters off. I’ve been to 5 other clubs this season all of which have accepted cash on the gate, even by prior arrangement so the track n trace rules are complied with. Lets hope for in upturn in crowd levels at the next one . Edited June 21, 2021 by Ringitsneck
MrP
A solution to the people who are reluctant to buy online could be to offer them an old fashioned printed out ticket which could be ordered and paid for in advance and delivered to them in advance so all they needed to do was to show ticket on arrival at the stadium. This would still comply with the restrictions placed upon Newcastle. Just a thought.

Maybe by telephone or at a pre-determined source say a shop. Dunno really but if it was a possibility it would be worth trying. Maybe put a post on here and on Social media trying to see if many people would interested, then take it from there.

Ringitsneck
Ignore the troll… At another club they give a phone number to ring to pre book your ticket , give your details for COVID rules and you simply collect your ticket, sign, and put your cash in a bucket at a dedicated turnstile. It can be done with a little thought.

Maybe I just think they should at least try to see if there were enough interest. If like a lot are suggesting the more senior supporters are being put off by online sales it may well bring a few more through the turnstiles. A simple phone, order and delivery service wouldn’t be hard to do and would only require a small outlay on tickets and petrol .

By making a phone call ?…Really ? Upto 2 hours before the start of the meeting ? If that’s the case , they do have issues !

If you look at the bigger picture, you might add Birmingham, Poole and Wolves to that list, who all seem to be hit by running under current restrictions, not sure if they have the same problems tho?
