While agreeing this is a no-brainer for the Tigers, doesn't it contravene the "Peter Waite Rule" about not being allowed to re-introduce a rider who was in your 1-7 the previous season, but not at the start of this year?

He was in the declared 1-7 but due to Covid he decided not to travel initially.

Maybe that was scrapped when Peter left the scene many years ago, you should know better than anyone how Speedway rules are made up.Back Fag packet, with A4 sheet for changes when certain promotions feel like it.

Is that not the rule that can be overturned by the Management Committee "in the interest of speedway"?

He was actually in their 1-7 in 2019, so technically wasn't in the team the "previous" year!

Who is Glasgow’s British rising star now ?  Must be their only Brit Craig Cook

Connor Bailey has A British passport .. his mother is British, father an Aussie

Riding in the NL for the Colts , shows he is British and therefore can be a rising star.

We had hoped to have had more Brits in the team and thought about Adam Ellis but he was born in France. We wondered if Mark Loram could be persuaded to make a comeback but he was born in Malta. Meanwhile we were keen to welcome back Connor Bailey as he was not only an up and coming rider but also a decent personable young man. He was signed for last year and was on the BSPL rising star list for 2021. Unfortunately he was prevented initially from returning to the UK due to the Covid pandemic. So alls well that ends well. Welcome back Connor.

He should commit to GB Speedway now then... if he progresses in the sport then GB should benefit from this and not Australia

Connor has no intention of riding for Australia, has always said he would ride for GB if good enough, the family have moved here for good, only went back for his sister's wedding and got stuck over there due to Covid
