Steve Shovlar
Why? The club will run this season, I am guessing just not under the current situation of hugely limited attendances.
MartinBSN
I can understand restricted capacity being a problem (wolves have had their regular crowd cut by more than half) but Birmingham haven't sold out of tickets on any occasion? That says to me it's more an issue that the promotion aren't pulling in the crowd.

Could be that a lot of their fans are not computer savvy and would pay on the door, I know a lot of Glasgow fans that do not do technology and are missing out

It's all about putting things in place for those people. Offer them an option to buy in advance in person or over the phone.

If Swindon don't run in 2022 it will be presumably be stadium related, not because of their decision not to run this year because of Covid restrictions. If any team made the right call it could turn out to be Swindon - providing, of course, that they do run in 2022 as they say they will. Somerset pulled out of the 2021 season initially ahead of the AGM where I’m led to believe they weren’t happy about some of, or more the lack of, guarantees that could be made. It looks like that decision has been justified in that other clubs and promotions buried their heads in the sand and said “it’ll be alright, don’t panic”.... only to then panic after one or two meetings. How have clubs like Birmingham and Wolves etc only just realised the sums of money that would be lost on meetings like this? Birmingham only recently splashed out on Erik Riss on the verge of the season starting. Another case of shocking management decisions spending money that they clearly haven’t got! Steve Shovlar
How can there be a huge crowd at the cricket in Birmingham, but not allowed at speedway just up the road?

Biffa
Does this decision include away meetings, or is it just home meetings? It reads as though it’s the whole operation but just not sure if it’s just home meetings. Thanks
StephenMiller
Anyone know why the council suddenly removed the pay on the gate option at short notice ?
