All those empty seats. Very disheartening. Hopefully the rules will be relaxed soon and things will get back to normal. Not sure many clubs. An afford to run with such reduced attendances.

No club will be able to sustain this if it continues after 21st. These draconian measures insisted on by the Stadium landlords, not the Council or the club, are really putting the pressure on!!

Poole v Berwick in the lower tier isn't particularly normal though for the Manchester Utd of speedway is it. A relaxation may help a little but will it fill those seats? I'd have my doubts.

What was it like when Peterborough dropped down? Were the crowds a lot different?

Seems so long ago. When I go I get there early and don't tend to move too much and leave late so always difficult to gauge crowd size. I'm sure that there was a drop off initially and a few regular faces disappeared never to be seen again. Whether that was the drop, Frost/Mahoney going or Horton surfacing again I don't know, although I'd have a guess. A fair few people had been calling for the drop for years because when the top league really was a top league then the lower tier was probably more traditional and sustainable for the club. I just don't associate Poole with second best so would be concerned that some of the fanbase will not have it and also it isn't much of a draw to visitors and/or floaters?

nothing those landlords do would ever surprise me but what on earth is there angle(and they will have one) in making life so difficult for the speedway???

They want the stadium demolished and to be joint developers with the town for all the new flats that the council (BCP) want to build on the site.
They are using their long lease of the site as leverage

All absolutely fine at Plymouth last night!

Other than people social distancing on the terraces and wearing masks while moving around, you would never know there was a pandemic. No problem at the food outlet either!

Good atmosphere, interesting racing. Couple of nasty crashes for both Etheridge and NBJ, who twice went under the air fence. Hope they are both ok for tonight.

At Poole the riders have times to go into the pits, come back out, let others go in, then have to come back out again!

Be interesting to see how this scenario works out. Way over the top.

Hoping for a Poole win of course.

Plymouth nor any other club (except Swindon) have to deal with Gaming International!!

Matt won't be able to sustain big financial losses for long under these regulations. GI seem happy to let the stadium close - they still get substantial income from the car/lorry park - force the speedway to close and then persuade the Council that they can't make it pay!!

unless you get more activity within the stadium its self of course it will close nobody in there right might  would want to spend money on it at this moment in time . so it then will end up a housing development . until the pandemic and lockdown is over .we dont know what gaming international have in mind

The Council won't take much persuading
